I can't remember my last high score, but I just cracked 1870 on camp triggerfish.
Had a bad time on Ancho-v games.
There is no clear view of the central area before you drop down, you have a narrow FOV width-wise. So you have to jump in blind and just hope someone isn't already down there. And most of the time there is someone so you basically blind jump to your death. Sucks monkey nuts.
Played both the Ancho-V and Piranha Pit stages during last weekend's Splatfest. I forgot how much fun these can be, after having missed the last 3 or so. Overall rather positive on both stages. Piranha Pit seems straightforward enough, with a nice middle section to battle over and large tangents on either side to keep an eye out for. We got completely annihilated on Ancho-V the first time I played it, then I discovered a great spot where me and my trusty .52Gal could keep the whole ennemy team entertained so my teammates were free to ink up the whole map.
I don't think the Splatoon that came pre-installed with the Wii U has ever been played, not even once. Just to spite GG and his Splatoon mongering, I'll make sure it never gets played.

You fail.
I think Steel is afraid he would dominate like in Uncharted.

AnchoV map doesn't give a good view of the middle section from up high I find. So the people already in the middle section have a massive advantage.

Not as simple as that. For instance if you are killed you will respawn at the start and the team hogging the middle section will be able to just pick off anyone who drops down in the future. The narrow opening you stand on up high means you are an easy target for snipers and inkzookas not to mention long range weapons like the Dual Squelcher. Theere are only a couple of openings from up high so they literally can know where you are going to emerge from.
Also if other people race you to the middle section, once you are down there the view is quite open with few cover points that using a short range weapon like I usually choose means I will always get beaten on range and be easy pickings for the opposition.
I never go down the middle myself. I usually sneak to the right and ambush.

It's simple for me though. I just race there as soon as the game starts, pick off one or two foes and by that time my killer whail has charged, who's mighty ray of doom is conveniently just as wide as the opening area; By the time everyone respawns and has made their way to about halfway where I am, my killer whail is ready to be deployed again.

You are a total jerk.

I try that, but your FOV is limited not only horizontally but vertically too, you cannot see who is hiding underneath you. I should research the map more. I did find a certrain trick where you could jump from the right onto the higher level of the opposing team, bypassing the middle section entirely.

So it's been hard to get players for Splatoon Saturdays. Interest in this game waning?
For myself I am like a hairs breath away from max Level 50 and max S rank so my motivation for playing is near non-existent at this point.
I'd still like to play more of you guys, but no one else seems to be playing these days. I still remember when it was Iga, Robio, Sup and Me playing together.

I hardly get any play time in these days, and when I do it's usually XCX or Bravely Default. I'm always up for some Splatoon though, even if my skills have seriously waned. I could make it next Saturday. Also, don't mention stuff about being on an hour earlier or later, just stick to the UTC, all the rest just confuses me.

I got so many games to play and I am not used to the pick up and play for an hour like way I should be playing this. So it gets ignored but I wil get back to it, it's so much fun.

But by then we'll have moved on...
Oh, who am I kidding, GG and I will still be playing this by then.

Well how often have I played with you guys? If you played at my night we would play more

True, but sadly enough for me that's rather a no-go, as your late evening is my night or early morning. In scenario A I am fast asleep, in scenario B my 4 year old kid is awake and will want to play 'the game with the squids' himself the moment he sees me playing.
I'll gladly match our agenda's, but it won't be easy to find a spot that's feasible for the both of us;
Tried the new map in Splatzones so i'm guessing that the black blocks wont be there on turf wars. It's a pretty great map, nice and tight, will be good for me. alot of unpaintable surfaces though.
