Seems like Neogaf cracked open Splatoon and discovered 2 more maps on the disc, as well as an additional 33 guns. That's a whole lotta guns So much for any kind of ballance I suppose... Also, this weeks gun looks nothing like a watergun: https://twitter.com/SplatoonJP/status/613266469296541696/photo/1

Nintendo is finally getting with the times, people should stop complaining. Be carefull what you wish for.

I never wished for it, though, so I can complain all I want.
The content being unlocked isn't being claimed as DLC though. It just unlocks. They are doing it to keep players engaged.
Spotted douches doing weird annoying stuff to win like permanently jumping into and out of ink continuously making it hard to hit them.

I dunno, seems pretty lame given how light Splatoon is on content. That's probably why anyway, so people will be placated with a few extra maps.

They are fucking annoying turds.

I dont think it's light on content, there are quite a few maps, sure you are stuck in turf war till you hit level 10, but past that there are more modes. There is a fully fleshed out single player and more and more stuff unlocks every week.

It's called tactics GG It's part of the game. Sure, it's annoying at first, but it's not like they're invulnerable when in ink.

I don't agree. Hiding in the ink when not shooting is part of the game. It's not some moronic shooter idiom like jumping up and down all the time or camping in one spot for easy kills. It's also easy to do. Just keep the left trigger pushed down all the time, you'll pop up while shooting automatically.
It's also not some cheap tactic to ensure easy kills or wins, it's not something that will give those players a huge advantage over others. As long as they're in squid form, they can't be covering surface in their ink. And like I also said: you're not invincible when doing that yourself. If you see anyone squiding around like that, just spray ink in his general direction and he'll get stuck in a pool of your own ink, forcing him to the surface.
Sup, I should clarify:
SupremeAC said:It's not some moronic shooter idiom like jumping up and down all the time.
I'm talking about this, not just hiding in ink. This Russian fuckwit did this, from ink to jump, back down to ink, back up to jump, repeat endlessly.
Ah well, in that case I said nothing. So basically idiotic shooting behaviour not only seeped into Splatoon, but by now it has also adapted itself to this new environment, evolving into a new form. Interesting.
I cannot see how doing this repetitive jumping BS can be, in anyway fun for the person doing it, anyway. What is this guy on?
Maybe he just likes trolling you? He seems to be pretty good at it too. Maybe he thinks he's a dolfine instead of a squid?
Played some more Splatoon yesterday evening. To anyone still holding out to get this our of principal, I'd say there's enough content right now to make it worthy of a purchase. Being able to really team up with friends won't improve the game much, and by then some people on here might already have moved on, or not.
The new stage is pretty sweet. It plays completely different from the other stages due to it being so big. It also doesn't have a larger area in the center, it has 2 different lanes, making it more into some sort of tug-o-war thing.
I've also come to realize that cheap FPS tactics just don't work in this game. The jumping around doesn't do much because the ink you shoot is wide enough to hit you anyway.
