You go girl!
I got to play the Lost Planet 2 demo today, much improved over the first. The graphics are amazing, better yet are the enemy animations. The action is the same but they rebalanced it to work for co-op, the result is a game with a lot more action. On single player its a bit lonely, its kind of a crawl as you face off against so many enemies. But when you play with others its awesome.
Then you play that boss fight that is HUGE, the one in the trailers. The scale is incredible, but like LP1 you need to shoot all the orange glowy things. The cool thing is that you can be eaten, which allows you to go inside the monsters body and blow him up from the inside. Oh and you can be pooped out.
I was impressed. Still wont buy it at launch but I am interested.
That boss is cool! I beat him in a one-hit = death Daredevil run.
Its the hardest boss in the game. And no he does not blow.
If he's the hardest then I'mdoing better than I thought.
EDIT: Okay beat him. Just had to keep moving.
How would it stack up against the first Army of Two? I liked the set peices and co-op in that, less than perfect, game.
Never played it.
I thought you played it through in an afternoon with your nephew? (Mabe that was UIF, I used to mix you guys up). It's worth playing if you see it cheap. I just got the PS3 Lost Planet. I remember the aiming being a little off in the 360 demo.
So I guess somewhere in Sydney they uncovered an ancient relic, people started turning into infected zombie enemies and somewhere a guy is powering up the BFG?
"THERE'S NO TIME MICHAEL!"
WTF is wrong with you?
WHY? Why do games have to do this? I want awesome single player experiences. F****** online did this.
Reading the SC Conviction preview now.
It's time for a little Mark and Execute gameplay. This system is the centerpiece of Conviction. By tapping on a bumper, individual enemies can be marked for death. Once marked, a simple press of the button is all that is required to send Fisher into Jack Bauer mode. The player then just sits back and watches the fireworks while Fisher does all of the hard work.
I haven't seen the video for this. Is this like Red Steel when you tag enemies? Or does it last far longer as you watch Sam go through all the motions?
UMD Conversion Plan Killed Seriously? You're screwed, PSPgo owners
Done some updates.
Now I will prepare the topics for the Euro Podcast. I have already chosen 2 song, it should be pretty awesome

Ninokuni news:
the mysterious "Another Platform" announced in the trailer turned out not to be so mysterious after all: it's ROID, Level-5's mobile gaming service.
Robio's Early Morning Thoughts:
1. Alan Wake looks great. Everytime I see screenshots of that game I drool a little. Along with Bioshock is pretty much more sole interest in getting a 360 as my next console. Not that it'll ever happen, but ooooooh does that ever look good. And fun too.
2. That Trent Reznor interview is really good. I've admired the guy as a musician for years, even though I'm not exactly a fan of his music. He's got that perfect blend of artist and work ethic that creates interesting stuff. I've always wanted to see him get involved in a videogame after playing the original Quake, which he did the soundtrack for. I honestly think it's only a matter of time before he eventually has his hand in a game. Hopefully he'll stick to the Nintendo philosophies that he seems to appreciate and something good will come from it.
3. Dragon Quest VI keeps filling me with questions. It's a purchase for me no matter what but I do have some concerns about it. The game was much less story focused than DQV and the big feature of the game was a class system, but I really think they're going to need to revamp it a bit. DQVII had a much more robust system and it just makes the original DQVI class system look weak in comparison.
4. Once again the PSPgo is going to bomb. The lack of a conversion plan completely assures it.
5. And look at that.... almost 3 million Motion Plus' sold. This is a pretty good to measure how the Wand and Natal are going to sell. If the Wii does this much the other two will probably do about a quarter of it at best. Even that's pushing it as MP is a lot cheaper than what the other two will sell for, and got bundled with arguable a "killer app."
