Sony Patents New Single-Handed Controller Concept New patent shows a stick-like controller, but what could it be for?The patent was filed in the U.S. by Sony Computer Entertainment, and the device is described (evidently using the vaguest terms possible) as a "hand held game controller." You know, as opposed to all those game controllers that are held in the mouth.
This raises an obvious question: What on Earth could this controller be for? The fact that it's held in one hand suggests it might possibly be the future "nunchuck" to Sony's upcoming "wand" motion controller, but then the fact that there only appears to be four face buttons on this thing makes that possibility unlikely. As Siliconera notes, another possibility is that this is a new quiz controller, possibly for an upcoming new entry in Sony's Buzz! series.
Then again, this is assuming Sony ever even releases this thing, as patents are often filed for concepts that may never make it to market. Any other guesses?
(...Besides guessing that this is a new custom controller for a third entry in the Dead or Alive Xtreme series. There. We made the joke so that no one else will have to.)
my turnips are 45 bells today, that's why i didn't even bother interrupting your exchange with raven. hope you get a chance to offload profitably

What about after lunch?
Visually they could stand to bump things up a lot, Contra Rebirth looked a lot better.
that was after lunch when i got home from work. don't know what it was this morning. i promise to check both rates tomorrow

This bit is awesome, he helps you up the mountainside, the animation in this game is something special.
Thanks Bugs.
i bought lost winds 2 yesterday as i wanted to help in my minor way the game to have good launch sales. i will not play it until i have finished the first one though but i have a lot of love for it already

As soon as I finished LW2 I restarted the first game, burned through it in 2 hrs and started the second game again.
How does Icarian compare?
Yes.
it's not as beautiful (or at least i don't like the whitewashed sun-drenched look as much) but it plays kinda similarly. you solve environmental puzzles by manipulating blocks and objects with the wii-mote pointer and you move your character along with the nunchuck. it feels nice when you co-ordinate it well, i like it quite a bit

How long is it and what about the music?
i played it in rather short intervals so it's a little hard to estimate the length. perhaps about 4 hours. the music is rather soft and soothing, chant like from what i remember

Did I miss much yesterday? Guess not. Nice Castlevania screens, will get as soon as it hits. I am downloading the Ratchet demo, will have impressions soon.
Uncharted 2 online is freaking awesome.
I still like Noby Noby Boy's Controller better.
It's got to be the nun-chuck.
Got to play Ratchet and Clank demo, the first thing that stood out to me were the graphics. I was not that impressed by them but maybe that is Uncharted's fault. I noticed hand drawn backgrounds and hand drawn fire. I think that is new, I dont recall hand drawn cartoon fire bursting out of enemies in past Ratchet games.
Anyway the demo is basically the tutorial for Clank's time manipulation. Obviously the demo doesn't get to complicated but I bet once there are a ton of recordings going on at once it will be awesome. The success of this is totally on the devs and how hard they make it. Even Clank's combat gets an upgrade as he has this slow time bomb he can use. So now you can have enemies that are very fast and have really slow Clank fight them through use of the slow bomb. The demo ends with a boss fight that uses that very mechanic and it's a great battle.
I enjoyed the demo but that was never going to be a question cause I love this series. I do feel this is a bad demo to release. It's huge for one, 2.4G, that alone will put away most people. Having Clank as the focus of this demo will put off the more action junky group of people to the point where they might not even try the action oriented Ratchet demo coming soon. Ratchet should have been first as that is the core gameplay of the series, then give us a glipse at the Clank side. I have a bad feeling that this game will get lost in between Uncharted 2 and the mega month coming ahead.
WTF, Edge gave NSMB Wii a 7?
