Hmm you know the 360 hitting nearly a million and a quarter in Japan isn't too bad taking everything in consideration.
As you may be aware, some customers have been unable to connect to the PlayStation Network today. This problem affects the models other than the new slim PS3.
We believe we have identified that this problem is being caused by a bug in the clock functionality incorporated in the system.
Errors include:
We hope to resolve this problem within the next 24 hours. In the meantime, if you have a model other than the new slim PS3, we advise that you do not use your PS3 system, as doing so may result in errors in some functionality, such as recording obtained trophies, and not being able to restore certain data.
As mentioned above, please be advised that the new slim PS3 is not affected with this error. We are doing our best to resolve the issue and do apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Oh so some of our stuff is screwed for good. Yay...
So, SNK got tired of waiting for Nintendo to release their games on VC, so they're now turning to Sony. Too bad millions of PS3s are now dead.
Sonic Adventure coming to XBLA
I wonder if they are going to fix the horrible frame rate issues that plagued the DC original and the Gamecube port?
Apparently it is worse, it has more issues and it doesn't fit the full screen, you play it in some box.
Really? That sucks. Kind of expected though.
If they had a replacement program I wouldn't mind EXCEPT I specifically bought a 60 gigger for the backward compatibility. I'm sure it will be fine if I don;t unlock any trophies, but to be on the safe side I'm leaving mine off.
Depending on how poorly the final result of this is, I may have to send Sony to the same Hell I sent Microsoft to for failing in the hardware department so much.

I saw De Blob for sale at the Post Office yesterday for $31. Weird. So weird it threw me off buying it. Are they stealing GameFly copies?
Okay, now I look like an idiot for spending all that money on a real NEOGEO.

Of course they have the title incorrect.
Wow, it hit the front page of Yahoo too. This is too funny.
Nothing beats the original systems. One of my dreams is one day becoming a collector like you.
This is what SA1 XBL will look like. It is based on the GC port. It does run well I read it just doesn't fit the screen and it is a basic port.

And will still be hampered by the roving camera of doom too I take it?
i wouldn't put that past him. like when they asked apple why ipods don't allow for (uncomplicated) battery replacement, and their PR said "well most people like to change their ipods at least once a year to get the new models anyway"

Well, you are paraphrasing giving the worst possible spin to what they have said. When I read what they write I don;t get the sense that they think this is a small problem, I get the sense that they are in deep shit and don't know what to do. I'm not mad at them yet.
If Sony is to be blamed for anything it was for compromising their original vision (which in turn has diminished their quality -- cough*Toyota*cough). They took all this time to make the PS3, and then after they release it they have been doing everything they can to emulate the competition. So that means they give up on six-axis immediately and go back to vibe (after giving up on the batarang, and now releasing another motion controller). It means they tacked on an achievements system when they said they wouldn't (which is now bricking systems). It means promising backward compatibility but then upon realizing they can make more money selling the games to you again taking it out.
At least under Kaz the trains were on time.
