Watching him play Cave Story last night, watching the sense of exploration, discovery and reward work their way into his brain... Priceless!
Don't know if I should have given him Super Metroid first or Cave Story, but either way, the feeling was unbeatable nonetheless!

The huge dude with the axe keeps killing me!
You are at the very start then. Axe guy is very slow, you aren't. Axe guy has no guns, you do, keep a distance. Best strategy, put a wall or something between you, jump through a window and shoot at him.
Also you don't need to kill him, just stay alive for a certain amount of time and that section ends.

Now Playing: Golden Sun Dark Dawn, God of War Ghost of Sparta, and DKC Returns
Finished Metal Gear Solid 4 tonight. Holy shit what an incredibly powerful ending. The last boss fight was also very cool how they did it. I most certainly agree with all the praise and the reviews this game received, definitely a 10/10 game for me. Kojima and team did a fantastic job on this game, huge props to them. I can't wait to pick up God of War 3, Uncharted 2, and Demon's Souls next.
Was a 9.5 for me because of the ending, otherwise would have been a 10. >_>
They should have ended it just slightly earlier.
That can be applied to every single thing Kojima directs, from cutscenes to whole games.
RE5 is amazing! I have a personal bodyguard, though.
