Luigi's would be a good pick for that given the "stage view" taken throughout the game.
Interesting.
The DS was basically the N64, so I guess it's fair to assume the 3DS is a portable GC.
I remember Miyamoto saying that the DS was redemptive for them after the N64 failed. And since I'm 110% certain the 3DS will be even bigger than the DS, I guess it will also be redemptive for Nintendo since the GC flopped.
I would say the Wii is the success where Gamecube failed, but I think 3DS is a better comparison because of all the core games coming for it.
Funny how Nintendo is finding success with their past hardware failures later on.

Now Playing: Golden Sun Dark Dawn, God of War Ghost of Sparta, and DKC Returns
I thought I read something from E3 that said they were testing a screen or overlay that you could put over the tv to get 3d for Luigi's Mansion but that again it wasn't practical to market.
Just listened to the final E3 gamespot podcast. I had no idea Tor Thorsen was such a douche. On 3DS: (emphasis his)
Tor Thorsen, "I like the technology, it's a very slick device and when looking straight on it looks quite good. Problem is it's got a gyroscope in it... so that's kinda broken. I think a lot of Nintendo fans will like it because they are bringing back a lot of old N64 titles for it..."
And Segoku Basara 3 Wii version. First time we see it? All the trailers were showing PS3. Capcom was right, it's pretty close the PS3 version, and this is the split screen even. I guess they weren't hiding it out of shame then!
But yeah, they still gimp it removing the online mode from Wii, keeping only the split screen multiplayer. Maybe they would be willing to add it back in for the Western release, like Nintendo did for Samurai Warriors 3? You can also see some insane pop-in for the enemies, but maybe that's just a way to keep the split screen mode smooth.

Is that a similar number of enemies to the PS3 version? Doesn't seem like all that many to me.
And good splitscreen + good online multi >>>> good splitscreen. Removing features is bad.
Idk about enemies, it's not like I've seen the PS3 version with that exact level and settings and progress.

Not if the features suck in the first place. Like online multiplayer.
That De Blob 2 video clearly says that the 360/PS3 versions are ports.
They will end up as better versions for those with HDTVs, or 3DTVs since it supports 3D.
I'll still get it on wii as the visuals are clean enough for me and I enjoy using the remote and all that.
Disney are making this. Check the epic mickey thread

Gamecube Secretly Designed To Work With Graphical Circuits For 3D Games
“In fact there have already been discussions for a possibility of a 3D video game for a long time,” stated Iwata. “To tell you the truth, GameCube is secretly designed to load graphical circuits which display graphics for right and left eyes respectively, for a future possibility of realizing 3D gaming experience. So actually we have had interest on this technology, but I have some doubt about everyone needing glasses to play.”
As final note, he added: “To wrap up, we have interests but are also aware that there are so many hurdles to overcome, thus we don’t believe every kind of game will become 3D environment in no time.”
"Based off internally conducted research, naked-eye 3D for portables does not have high precision, and at present there are limitations." - Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Kaz Hirai

I own that game. It was pretty good, probably the best Bond FPS outside of Goldeneye. Nowhere near as good as Goldeneye but enjoyable nonetheless. I think Eurocom also did Nightfire which was okay I guess. It looked nice enough.
Damn that trailer brings back memories.
Oh damnit.
Digital Foundry: Weirdly, they seem to have Microsoft Kinect adverts in the E3 toilets, saying that this is the controller that's taken five million years to develop. That five million years doesn't seem to encompass the evolution of the hands or the fingers. Kinect is cool but it can't scan fingers. That's where the lowest possible latency is, the most direct connection you have with the game.
So I guess Kinect can't scan fingers so you aren't going to get the kind of fine tuned control for manipulating objects. When Natal was announced I dreamed of an Elebits game where I could use both hands to manipulate objects. Guess it's all body gestures then.
3DS video sort of shows off the 3D effect
