There is some problems with insurance. If a player gets hurt they have to pay a ton of money. This was the reason in the earlier days that not many NBA players went.

Some teams choose not bring younger players from other leagues because the NBA players suck for some reason. Perhaps they are too old or they can' t function under these conditions with different rules

Believe it or not, there are other leagues. Dejan Bodiroga never went to the NBA, does not change the fact that he was awesome.

There are other leagues, and none of them really matter except the NBA. I am sure they matter in their particular country, like Japan loves their baseball league. But its not THE league.  To reach the height of your profession you must win at the highest level of that sport and that is the NBA for Basketball. That is why to me everything else is a cool diversion but not the real thing. Even the Olympics is just this neat event, I don't think its that serious in terms of basketball. Ask any basketball player what they rather have a gold medal or an NBA championship and every single one of them will say an NBA championship.

For the Americans that care, so in other words only ASK.

Everybody knows NBA league in Europe. But no one is going to cheer on the street if LA Lakers win. No, they do cheer when their country win the World Cup or Euro cup. Because it's their fucking country and winning the World Cup or the Olympics is the higest achievable goal. Players go to the NBA because they get paid more and because they get better, but no one is going to form a giant crowd when they win the NBA championships.

So don't feel bad if you are the only one that care about FIBA ASK,it just means that you are not  close minded  hill billy like the rest of your country.

That Layton thing is great - except I don't like the Layton pic for some reason. And those Bioshock covers are great!

So Metroid Other M and Kane and Lynch were the two worst games last month?  Okay, I'll be sure to avoid them.  Ahhh, GI hates Ninty, and the Wii.  If you listen to the last Game Informer podcast it is not as clear cut as that, but the reviewer of the Other M does explain his review of the game.  It's funny because he is talking about problems he is having with the game, and then they go to the other guy who is playing it and ask him if he is having the same problems and he's all, "ahh... no, ah.. not yet at least..."

Then in their Batman review Meaghan reveals how shocked she was that she enjoyed Batman because among one other reason "it's on the Wii!".
