Geek asked "Kinect costs MS $55 US / ÂŁ34 to make Is this good value?"
$56 cover just the parts. I have no idea what the manufacturing cost and shipping from whatever third-world country it's made in. Then there is packaging, marketing and the development design cost.
I doubt if you pour in all the development and marketing costs alone (even if there was not a physical thing to manufacture MS still isn't making money at $150 USD. Over time those costs get amortized (if it is successful). They are spending 500 million on marketing in the first 3 months alone.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobilehttp://www.amazon.com/Monster-Hunter-Classic-Controller-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B0036KRP3Q/ref=pd_ts_vg_54?ie=UTF8&s=videogames
Monster Hunter Tri with the Classic Controller is $30 on Amazon. It's just about the cheapest way I've seen to ever get the classic controller. Hell it's basically getting the controller and then paying $10 for the game.

Fixed that little error. I need to stop drinking on Friday afternoons.
I checked, and it also ships to Canada, which is rare for games from Amazon.com.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobilefrom what i have been hearing is that there's a problem in working out the saturn games coming to make them into VC form thats why sega went from genesis to dreamcast
Segata Sanshiro is back for that piece of shit. Yu Suzuki had something to do with it? Is this some evil joke by Sega.
What happened to Flip's Twisted World, it looked so promising...
The Saturn was kind of a disaster as far as the hardware went. It was planned to be an incredible 2-D gaming system but halfway through the development Sega caught wind that Sony and Nintendo were buildng their systems to be 3-D systems, so they decided to change the design midway. The end result was a system with two CPU's. If I understand everything correctly, that is what makes the games for the system so hard to emulate.
As we sit here today we're saying the Wii has many, many more units to sell. After we've reached an installed base of 45 million here in the U.S., we can have a conversation about the next generation." - Reggie Fils-Aime
http://kotaku.com/5688540/wii-2-is-not-a-must-for-late-2011
thats insane in usa they barely sold 30 million the thought of another 15 million seems unlikely i have to wonder if reggie will have to retrack that qoute like when he said on jimmy fallon show that the 3ds would be iout before next year a few months back
For the record there are several other good deals on Amazon at the moment. $15 for Little King's Story, $16 for Red Steel 2, $14.68 for Muramasa, RE4 for $13.00, and Okami for $15.
^thanks for the head sup, I'll get Red Steel 2.
Something to do with it? His studio is developing it, initially without permission from SEGA who was convinced to adopt it later when it was actually revealed to them. Well, the last half I can't bother to double check but I saw it mentioned elsewhere. It's definitely YsNet who is developing it though. As for if it's a piece of shit or not, I'll wait to actually see it before I comment since no details shown so far tell if it's Yokosukaville or an actual game. And I don't think Segata is back, he's just invited there, maybe he did some more voice work too? He was used sparringly for other SEGA promotions in the past but not as the Segata persona, like for that Rambo arcade.
More like ahead of its time. It just had multiple processors (2 cpus, 2 graphics chips, 1 sound chip, whatever else), which is pretty much a standard nowadays. Although it did have the drawback that it used squares instead of triangles for 3D, it wasn't exactly a huge drawback at the time when 3D was quite new so there were no actual standards, with developers having to learn it all for the first time anyway. And it was king in 2D. Well, the Neo-Geo was the 2D king but it was too pricy and only got SNK games so, yeah, it was more like a system for people who wanted an arcade at home rather than something to compete in the normal home console space. SNK made many great Saturn ports also (GAROUUU!!!!). Anyway, being hard to develop for didn't exactly stop the PS2 so it was many other factors that killed the Saturn. I mostly blame SOA personally, although SOJ made many mistakes.
You should try Saturn emulators like SSF, they have high compatibility nowadays, I was just playing Legend of Oasis the other day after playing the Genesis prequel on VC and it's flawless so far. Although SSF doesn't have any graphical enhancement options so you may find the 3D games too ugly (I thought SEGA Rally is fine but Nights hasn't aged well, mostly due to frame rate). I'm sure that if SEGA wanted they could do an even better job than some homebrewers, perhaps by even hiring them and giving them access to more tools and information. They did work with Giri Giri's developers at one point to provide a service for Saturn games on PC in Japan. If I'm not mistaken, one of the DD platforms like D2D also offered a very limited selection of Saturn games for a time. Although Giri Giri wasn't as good then as SSF seems now, I think it offered options for higher resolution etc.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileMan if I had money I would make a killing. Sonic comes first though.
I just went to the store today and put money down for Mario All Stars, Sonic Colors and Gran Turismo 5.
One was a given, one was pretty likely, but the last totally goes against my "No serious Racing Games" rule.
I keep on telling myself: "With all the different types of games I have been playing and enjoying lately, why not broaden my horizons even more?"
First Person Shooters, Third Person Cover Based Shooters, BioWare games from Start to Finish, an Online Shooter, a Sandbox game... I feel as if I am a completey different gamer than who I was last year!
I was considering if there was anything else I should give a second chance...
"Maybe LittleBigPl..."
"MEH!"
Sigh. Oh well. Some things will never change!
FOR GOD'S SAKE MAN! JUST GET MURAMASA!
This is not edited.
Nice weather we're having today Vader, isn't it?
Yay another person getting Colors!
But you ruined all your good will with that last part.
You know I did it just cause I saw you on, right?
