Dad OK?
Ok, here's what happened yesterday. My dad got up at about 4am to go to the bathroom and while in there, he passed out. He not only passed out, but fell on the comode and broke it to bits. My mom walks in after hearing this and fears the worst, that he has had a massive stroke and died right there in the bathroom. He starts to wake up and my mom gets him up and they both get into the truck. She's done this before so she knows to skip the local hospital and drive 45 minutes to the hospital where his doctors work out of.
Meanwhile, though I live two houses away, I am completely unaware of any of this because my cell is dead and I am dead asleep. We're awakened by my brother-in-law knocking on the door. He got off work to turn the water off at my folk's house, so that there wouldn't be a flood in the bathroom.
Anyway, long story short, he appears to have an enlarged prostate and the strain of urinating caused him to black out. Her's at home resting right now. He has a catherter in him for the moment and will be seeing a urologist Monday morning. I prefer that over the stroke any day, though it is still serious.
Funny thing is, even after he fell on the toilet, he got away with just some minor cuts. Dad: 1, Toilet: 0. HA!
Sorry for the late response, I was typing.
No problem, I'm glad it wasn't something more serious.
Now my sympathies have shifted to the toilet!
