That's a crazy concept. It has almost the same buttons as a 360 controller, you hold it in the same position you hold a 360 controller, the area you hold is about the same size, and the only difference is the screen will be roughly in your hands rather than across the room as it is with portable games of any genre ever... Holding it normally and using your thumbs and index fingers to perform moves I see no reason at all for it to tilt around enough to break the 3D illusion, but if you want to hold it in weird ways and use like two fingers to tap face buttons rather than your thumb (but then how do you press the shoulder buttons?) then that is up to you and you'll have to play in 2D mode. That doesn't affect the actual game/play's quality. It's the same game, as good as anywhere, with all the features and a couple of new ones on top, unless you want to use an arcade stick or similar device. Unless everyone has been lying to us and it lacks this or that feature, but I doubt this is the case. The differences are told to be slight visual downgrades (but not frame rate), like the stages not being animated.
Tekken 5 and 6 are just fine on PSP, as was Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny gameplay wise (it had some shit design decisions like not having an arcade mode, but that's besides the point here as we know SSFIV doesn't have such omissions). They didn't lack any gameplay depth, they didn't make moves harder to perform, or anything else compared to the home console releases. If you knew a character from the last home versions, you knew that character on PSP just as well. There are many other beat em ups on portables too and the only issue may be the not-so-great PSP d-pad which would make SF games a pain, but by all reports the 3DS d-pad is fine.
If you want portable SSFIV, it appears to be this, not like on iOS. If you don't want portable SSFIV, you don't buy.

I just Beat my 14th 360 game! Woo!
Yeah me too, that review made me interested in a game I otherwise would not have given a second thought.
Congrats Homey.
That's about the sum of it.
You are horrible, that doesn't stop me from enjoying you.
I have an event in the morning that will divert me for most of the day so no news updates from me at the normal time guys. Hope to catch some of you in UC2 tomorrow at some point.
"And with the 3D effect turned on, even to the most minimal degree, you can forget about playing this game with motion controls. As you may have already heard, if you're not looking at the 3DS's top screen directly, you get blurred visuals and flickering. Multiply that several times and that's what it's like to play Super Monkey Ball 3D in 3D."
Oh Buuuugggggsssssiiiieeeee... Guess what game I'm playing?
Not Monster Tale, but something else you recommended to me!
Oh man, you're not playing Alan Wake are you?

So far, so good!
It's funny, but this game just screams "REMEDY!"
There's just something unique about their graphical style and the way they approach a game. I haven't played Max Payne in years and years, but there's something about Alan Wake that instantly calls it to mind!
Exactly, and as someone who has loved both Max Paynes immensely, playing Alan Wake apart from that recognition you speak of there was also a sense of "I've really missed this!"

Finished Crysis 2, it was pretty fun overall. Steam says i've played it for 15 hrs. Take a couple off for just messing, loading, cut scenes, or quitting and replaying some sections due to the checkpoints.... I guess it was OK length. I played at the difficulty be4 the hardest and it wasn't really too hard though I died a few times here and there. It's kind of lame it doesnt have any extras to play. It would have been nice to have a few open levels with lots of enemies and all weapons laying about and stuff, just to mess with the AI, the hardest enemies, etc. I'm gonna wait for Monday or so to try the multiplayer, in case they do an early patch, the current account/login bugs annoy me too much (you have to input the CD key every time etc). Overall it's a somewhat empty package if you're not into multiplayer. I think they haven't even released modding tools this time so no custom levels and stuff...

Woo! I see you hidin' down there Edge! Hello again!!
You getting a 3DS?
I was just readin some reviews on the 3DS actually.
Probably not getting one, but hopefully someone else I know will so I can play with it. I still need to score a new Wii and PS3 at some point so a handheld is out of the question for me.
Ah! 'K. I'll most likely be posting personal impressions late, late tonight. Right now, it might not even BE worth it, so when/if you ever decide, the longer you wait probably the better!
