Fair enough, but how do you explain Bioshock 3?
I'm in no mood for them this afternoon. What a bunch of fucking idiots.
EDIT: So they only stand by their principles when their principles are popular?
BioSHOCKING? Word from the pre-show (Judges showing) was that it was the Game of the Show, plus it's been hyped for months by Game Informer (who had early access), so it was not a surprise to me.
After BioShock 2, I wasn't expecting 3 to be in the same league as Uncharted, Arkham, Mass Effect or Skyrim. I felt the series took a downward turn after 2. I loved the first, couldn't be bothered with half of the second! 3 looks to have an incredible environment, sounds like it is a lot more open ended, has a well-written story and is as stylized as ever, if not more. I wasn't expecting this to be true! People are saying this is the game of the show... more so than the heavy hitters I already mentioned! I find that SHOCKING!
rofl yes. What they fail to realise is that fucking over consumers just as badly as Sony did according to them is going to negatively effect them just as much as Sony's actions. At least in the short term. But then again that describes nicely most activism so they're not really alone in their actions.
The change of scenary is exactly why I'm not surprised. If it had been underwater again then I'd have been expecting it to be meh as well.
Bioshock 2 does not count. It was not made by the same team, its more of a fake sequel. This is the first true sequel of Bioshock.
What I hate is that Infinite is winning a bunch of E3 awards and yet they showed NOTHING to the public. It was all behind closed doors. Its like all media sites are teasing us, "we got to see this awesome footage, you did not"
I never go to mom and pop stores, they basically dont exist in Miami, well in downtown but no one goes there.
Yeah, like PETA. They hurt the cause more than help with their ludicrous self-promotion.
And like PETA they do the same thing as those they're trying to stop. :X
Should be able to score a cheap copy of OOT on the streets of NY tomorrow/tonight. - Probably 300 copies given out to a crowd that maybe has 10 3DS' amongst them?
Stalfos got fucking pwnt.
Bioshock 2 was a great game though. IMO anyway. Not as fresh as the original, but some great moments nonetheless.
Yeah that movie was crap.
I gots Ocarina of Time 3D this morning and just beat the Deku tree dungeon.
Not my pic BTW^
Right I played till the end of the Deku tree.
Visually it looks great. Without 3D you get better aliasing which means smoother edges, but the 3D effect is so good I can't see anyone choosing this option.
The motion controlled first person aiming works perfectly, I know it looks gimmicky but its actually awesome and quite immersive too.
The touch screen is great and gives you a little insight into how the Wii U controller might make gameplay more enjoyable. It has easy touch screen icons to use the menus and equip weapons, it even has a couple of assignable buttons, sort of like SF4 3DS which had 4 touchscreen buttons.
The game hasn't really aged, I know what famitsu meant when they said that it feels like a new game. Nintendo games from the SNES era, for their top tier titles, they are such classics that you can go back and still see what was great about them. The deku tree dungeon as small and simple as it is pisses all over any dungeon in Okami.
Grezzo have done a really good job on the visuals, they are someone inbetween an N64 and GC in quality but the 3D adds a lot, making it seem like a little fantasy world exists inside the screen. There is an occasion and very slight ghosting of navi though, you might not even notice it unless you look real hard. Grezzo seem to have touched up, if not remade, everything in the game. It's less of a port and more of a remake in graphical terms. Everything, the characters, every room, every item seems to be polished and looking brighter, crisper, more detailed and just more vibrant than before.
When I heard that they were just going with age old N64 midi music I was miffed, upon hearing the music in the game again I am kinda happy they kept the old tunes and jingles. It's part of what makes the game a nostalgic joy.
The game itself is the same, same layout, items etc. So it's not a new experience by any means - if you are getting this game you are getting it for two things, improved visuals and 3D. It's sufficienlty graphically overhauled to be worth it though and I hear that you get a free Zelda orchestra invite if you buy the game and if you register the game at the nintendo website I hear you get a free music CD.
The only complaint I have is with the 3DS analogue slider, it feels good but now is the first time it has had a game that it could be tested with. It doesn't feel quite right but that maybe because grezzo stuck to the same controls and animations and speed of the N64 link. I will have to check and let you know. Link seems to go from walk to sprint too fast.
You guys remember this Killer Freaks Ubisoft Wii U game where you aim by moving the Wii U pad?
It sounds like a horrible and tiresome control method, it's the same as the aiming in 3DS Face Raiders.
Well in Ocarina of Time 3D it has the same controls and everyone, including myself in the GAF thread has said that it's accurate and fun to use. Currently the Wii U tablet weighs less than a 360 pad, according to reports. With a battery it will weigh more but I think it may well be light enough to use in this manner and it may end up as a decent alternative to Wii remote IR aiming.
Or they could just use the touchscreen like a mouse pad.
Maybe it'll use that new Zapper that holds the screen?
Bleh! I'd much rather use dual-analogue or even Wii Remote's IR than holding up some screen to aim.
Holy crap just saw the Zelda OoT Robin Williams/Zelda Williams commercial on tv. So awesome.
Now listening to some Xenoblade music.
...and the credits roll on The Hunger Games...
Errr... I mean I just finished reading The Hunger Games!
