Monado sales update for anyone who cares. Day 4 it is still on Amazon's top selling video game lists. It's dropped down to #5 today, but that's still pretty impressive given the uncertain status. I honestly though Operation Rainfall would last a day or 2 and then it would fall off. Nice to see that's not the case.

And in other Amazon.com new, Lost in Shadows in on sale there today for $8.00.

Japanase people have been buying Xenoblade too from amazon japan to help the U.S campaign I hear.

Fuck yeah. September release of Xenoblade.

I am going to buy it on day one, so hyped. First I am going to download Chrono Trigger on the VC, it was never released in the EU back in the SNES days. This will keep me busy until Xenoblade arrives.

The game is so massive that it will keep me busy until Zelda arrives. Plus there are games like Blastworks, Anno and Wii Sports Resort in my backlog. And after Zelda there is still the Last Story and lots and lots of DS games I must try, like Phoenix Wright, TWEWY, Mario and Luigi 2 and 3, DQ IX, Radiant Historia, Ghost Trick, 999, Hotel Dusk, okay I am going to stop now. The list is big enough.

Also I read about Soma Bringer, a Monolith Soft game released on the DS. It is a awesome, awesome game that plays like Secret of Mana. Why the fuck is that not released here? WHY? Fuck you Reggie, fuck you NOE!!

Who is going to buy Xenoblade? Agnates? GG? Bugsy?

I'm more tempted by the game every day, but part of that is all the buzz and being able to potentially play a game denied to a lot of other folks. Hearing and seeing it in the english videos makes it feel friendlier. I will wait for reviews and impressions first but since there isn't much left on Wii I may bite.

Supposedly Nintendo is going to have some kind of statement about the push for Xenoblade and Last Story in America. What could they possibly say? Gee, we know you have nothing to play....go buy one of the opther consoles or game on the PC?

Could they have possibly made a worse transition from Wii to their next horribly named console in the USA? As I said the other day, even N64 and Gamecube had much smoother transitions, despite being nowhere near as popular. But I guess the dedicated traditional Nintendo fan in the USA doesn't matter anymore as long as Oprah and Ellen's friends keep buying the shovelware.

Its going to hurt them once Wii 2 (I refuse to call it U) launches here, mark my words. And what exactly is the launch date as of now? September 2012? A year after the last game worth buying?

I hear the statement is delayed till Wednesday. But didn't a NIntendo rep confirm USA Xenoblade Sunday or Monday already? We're just waiting for the official PR I guess. Wii U is out in Spring 2012 supposedly.

I don't know if I agree about there being a smooth transition from the GC to the Wii. Maybe only because with the GC we were used to getting 1 game every 3 months. They pulled some similar stunts though. Super Paper Mario for instance was supposed to be a GC game and that got pulled to the Wii as an exclusive.

Same for Fire Emblem radiant dawn and Twilight Princess.

And the N64 to GC, you had Eternal Darkness and Starfox Adventures bumped to GC.

I'm not sure, but from what I've seen Nintendo usually tries not to leave a large gap recentely between territories when it comes to hardware. They would probably delay a worldwide release rather than release very early in only territory. Most sources said that they expected the console in Spring 2012 or by summer 2012.

Besides, you can plug the gap with Go Vacation.
