New Wii racer called 3D Pixel racing. Looks pretty cool. Doubt I would get it but I like the style. i want to see it in action, particularly I want to see how or if the pixels fall apart when you crash.
Yeah that was my first though, no prizes for guessing what happens when you crash. Looks like it'd be better suited to a DL type game.
Vader, don't know if the USA will get this:

Is it just me or have the past few days been really boring in videogame news? I think the only interesting thing for me was the monolith wii u story.
Someone send this to Reggie
Well, played Borderlands for about and hour and a half yesterday. It's kind of slow at first, and quests/missions have been fetch quests or "kill this" ones so far. However, shooting mechanics are pretty good, with enough differences between guns to make things interesting in a game built around gun variety.
Game looks great also, and it's very well optimized. Runs perfectly on my GT220 at 1280x720 with everything on high. If I make compromises, I can even run it at my native res (1600x900). Love Claptrap's weird bits of dialogue and his high pitched voice.
*I..think I see the code....*
Hope Solo
Definitely want to put my balls deep inside her penalty box.
He finds them in Europe.
OMG and her last name is Solo which gives her nerd points.
^I am more shocked that they actually can use radios in Alabama
Because apparently we don't want games with deep mechanics or RPG elements or dialog anymore...we want endless mindless shooting.
Case in point System Shock => Bioshock
That'd be interesting, to hear games being talked about in a southern drawl. In the gaming communities I've been in it always seems to be California/Texas/Florida/Chicago/NY/Australia. It's like Germany and Italy -- where are you gamers?
No, SS was too boring and slow. Deus Ex is the right balance but even that needs better action. You can do great action and keep all the deep mechanics, but no one does.
Rovio (Angry Birds) continues to be dickheads:
"While Rovio is not currently seeking a buyout, the company's VP of franchise development Ville Heijari says the Finland studio could be worth somewhere "north of Popcap" and its recent $750 million purchase by EA."
They've been around (that anyone cares) for about a year, they make one hit and they think they are bigger than the company that made Peggle, Plants v Zombies, Zuma and a little thing called BEJEWELLED!
Edgy see? I blame Vader!
I wonder what they would be valued at. They had plenty of failures before Angry Birds so they've shown they miss the mark more than they've hit it. Sure they're good for a new installment of Angry Birds every few months, but it's only a matter of time before a new game comes along and becomes the darling of the casual scene. This is one of those rare cases where I'd like to get Patcher's opinion and see what an industry analyst actually thinks
