The game gets really addictive when you start digging into the side quests. There are some massively powerful monsters about too, at level 80. I'm level 13 at the moment so there is tons of room for more gameplay. I'm about 16 hours in and from what I've seen in the videos, I've barely seen anything yet in terms of environments. Bioni's leg is like Jurassic Park, there are dinos like a Stegosaurous crossed with a rhino and ancient looking horses among other creatures.

Weird, the diving top looked different on my Sharla.

Maybe the pattern is affected by the rest of the gear.

Also she uses a huge sniper rifle, not spells

So Grasshoppers Sine Mora and Black Knight are downloadable? These are the games where they are just providing the art and story right? Western devs actually make the game.

They're still great games, then, but they're not great ports. In certain areas, like texturing, there's perhaps only so much that Ubisoft could have done. Old games don't instantly look like new games just because the edges are sharper. At times, in fact, viewing a classic in 720p can be a bit like looking at your granny's face through a telescope and then going over her crow's feet with a biro. As for the naff loading times, the wonky frame rate and the absence of multiplayer components, however, this feels like a real missed opportunity.



So if you're new to the series and want to see what all the fuss is about, Splinter Cell Trilogy HD is still a decent stealth package. It should be much better, though - and that's why it's hard to recommend it as strongly as the games themselves deserve.

TOKYO -(Dow Jones)- Nintendo Co. (7974.OK) said Tuesday it will hold a trade show focusing on its 3DS handheld game machine in Tokyo on Sept. 13.


The Japanese videogame giant said the event, called the Nintendo Conference, will be open to industry people, analysts, investors and journalists, but not to consumers.


The company didn't disclose other details about the event.


The trade show comes after the company earlier this month drastically cut the prices of the 3DS by up to 40% after sales sagged steadily.


The 3DS, released in Japan in Febraury and in the U.S. in March, is the first game machine to play 3-D games without the need for special glasses.
