I think it is official. My favorite Metroid game is Cave Story.
I don't know why I waited so long. It's really good. It's old school gameplay but they've given it the pacing of a modern game. Story advanced quickly and there's plenty of save points. Very well done.
Okay several then.
So after you finished it? Twice.
No, no. That's in "Ico Time." It was probably only 5 or 10 minutes, but it felt much much longer.
Oh I finally rented a copy of Fortune Street today. Holy crap that is fun. It's an excellent board game. I wouldn't buy it at full price (well maybe I will), but eventually I will own this. A lot of the reviewers clearly did not know how to play it. They kept talking about how single games would last hours and hours. Even on the hardest settings I don't see how anything could go over 3 hours. My guess is they were treating it like Monopoly and ultimately didn't understand how it works. Love it!
GladOs DLC for defense grid is all kinds of awesome. It's harder than the regular game, but it's amazing to have her voice nagging you constantly and mocking your "strategic" choices.
In a field of white he takes her life,
and the sky cries tears of red;
At that moment one Boss is born,
as the other lies down dead.
...the credits roll on Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
One of the best endings I have had the pleasure of experiencing in my years of gaming. I don't care if everything Kojima ever does anymore is shit or not. This game will always grant him a free pass from me.
Somewhat.
It's funny that the final bosses were so terrible, yet the ending still managed to be great. Hooray for cutscenes.
True. Most of the MGS series bosses range from meh to shit, actually.
I dont agree with that.
Played some Uncharted with F1, omg I sucked for like 2 hours then finally became decent.
It wasn't my intention from the very beginning, but I managed to do my very first completely non-lethal play-thru of a Metal Gear game. Made the encounter with The Sorrow rather uneventful, but it gave me a pretty good feeling of accomplishment at the end. Found myself unable to pull the trigger of The Patriot, but realized there was no other way to finish the game.
*Speaking of finishing: Snake Eater marks my 1141st beaten game!*
Just started tonight too.
I'm sure you don't. One of your most beloved franchises, alongside RE and Zelda. I said "most" although I haven't played MGS2 or Peace Walker, but still. Most memorable fights were on the first game, can't comment on the second, third one was hit or miss (good ones like the Boss were scarce and crap stuff like the battle against general lightning was much more prevalent) and MGS4 had not one single boss fight worth mentioning . Every single one of them were poop. Smelly poop.
I'm with Steel.
On the bright side the great boss battles are really awesome.
The beauties were such a load of crap.
The final fight was great from a story perspective, though, but such a pain in the arse to play...then directly followed (or preceeded?) by extreme button mashing. FFS.
While we are here fucking holy cows in the ass.
Let me add that the ending of MGS3 sucks from a story telling perspective.
