11 days is definitely bad. Worst I've ever been through following a hurricane was 9 days. Most times even a mid-strength hurricane doesn't keep things down for more than 5 or 6 days. Most of this (in New York anyway) seems to have been caused by the flooding. I have in-laws on the Jersey shore who lost their homes due to the ridiculous flooding (don't feel bad, they're fucking terrible people and this is karma) rather than wind that usually is the culprit for most hurricane related destruction.
11 days is normal for bad hit areas. Some places have no power for months.
Crazy thing is, it's going to be in the 50's and 60's over the weekend and over the next 10 days or so. That HAS TO make it easier to get things done. I must admit to feeling a bit guilty: I've been spying the weather, looking towards the 18th to make sure it was going to be calm around here Wii U weekend. I breathe a sigh of relief when I see (so far) that it is, but then remember what's going on around me and feel like a spoiled, superficial dick for even CARING about something like that at the moment.
Well there's always a few pockets that don't get power back for an extended period of time, but in most cities, after a week 90% of the population gets their power back on.
Ah, okay.
Jesus Leo that sounds like hell. I'm really sorry man. I hope things start to get better soon this shit is going on too long. What Robio said is correct it's supposed to get warmer this weekend in the 60's they should get to work on things and get them running.Good luck my friend and thank god for games like Halo 4. I think the main problem is NY/NJ has not been hit by this anything like this in a long time. So yeah they were not prepared no matter what they say it sure appears they were not.
Manhattan is mostly back to normal. You should be fine.
Yes. I am just preparing Leo for the worst. Hopefully that is not the case.
One office is in Staten Island, I hear that is a disaster zone.
Crap.
I must be feeling overly sensitive at the moment. I've been trying to curl up at night with a few Layton puzzles. This particular one has had the most clever and graspable puzzles of all of them so far and I am loving it! Even the Daily Download puzzles are REALLY fun. Then I think of Bugsie not having it yet and I get sad all over again.
I'm a tired, stressed, emotional mess.
Time to take a trip down to the Tai Massage parlor with happy ending !
Oh snap it just hit me the whole craziness with the snow and no power. I never think of cold since all my life it has never been an issue, no power means no heaters in that weather... wow. Down here you have no air, but you know if its hot just throw some water on yourself, deal with it whatever, it isnt a huge danger as freezing.
On a lighter note, Halo is getting better and better. SOOOOO smart. The weapons are SOOOOOO diverse, pack a LOT of PUNCH and are SOOOOOO much fun! There's this Fuel Rod gun that shoots out this TREMENDOUS neon-green blast that can devastate most enemies. AWESOME!
Bear or Archie or anyone else that would know, though, I have some questions: What are the Skulls? Where do I find them in general? It seems they make the game MORE challenging... Is that correct? I am trying NOT to look anything up about the game, so everything is BRAND NEW to me and not spoiled, but these have me curious!
Its human, dont feel bad. You clearly care about the people around you, its a little piece of normal in a tough time.
Oh Vader, when you go up there you need to make some time and hit the Ninja Restaurant - http://www.ninjanewyork.com/ Assuming of course they're even open.
Yeah. No heat. No hot water. I was talking to a woman in the deli by my home that has the temperature go down to 45 degrees IN HER HOUSE last night. THAT'S the problem!
...and the gas.
Leo Skulls are special Trophy that are hidden all over the game that you collect not easy to find but if you look carefully you will see some they look like well like skulls. Don't you just love this game? I have to watch the OKC VS BULLS then I'm back on Halo 4.
Someone do me a favor, please! I think I am going nuts. Try going to Destructoid and tell me what happens, please!
Unless you're old and/or sick. Though maybe it doesn't get that hot in Florida...perhaps the humidity helps too.
