My Wii U has frozen for the second time today, wtf. And you cant hard power it down, like when you hold the power button for 10 seconds, nothing happens. You have to unplug it from the back. I better not find out in a month that these consoles are a piece of shit and will break.

In my experience with the DS and 3DS systems, playing with a system (or the Pad now) with it plugged in puts stress on the body of the unit itself. The casing starts to creak and plastic seems to separate in minor ways. I'm wondering what it does to the internal components.
Regarding the crashes, it seems to be related to the system being online at all times. One person, I think it was on GameFaqs, was watching a Live Cast... I think it may have been Giant Bomb... and was playing with their U at the same time. The Giant Bomb system crashed LIVE on the show and the viewer's crashed AT THE SAME, EXACT time. I think they think it has something to do with the MiiVerse going down.

My Wii U froze twice today also, once trying to quit out of NBA, and once quitting out of Zombie.

As for the power, if you dont play with the pad plugged in you are basically not playing.
Wow ZombiU is so good! I just reached what was by far the scariest part of the game, really havent had that kind of fear in a game in a while. Crazy new zombies showed up as well. The survival aspect is nearly unmatched, I have not felt tension and fear of dying like this in quite a while. I would say the Souls games are the closest things but those are more RPG while this is definetly horror.
I got $520 for mine. All about timing!
I returned my Zombie U to Walmart from Bundle for $68 went across to the street to TRU and bought Zombie and NBA for 105 after tax. Glad I did the return!

I know man...I'm so pissed that I can't play more right now. I guess it will be around next friday when I get my replacement Gamepad. Like I said though, I'm going to be very nervous about it breaking from now on..even if it never does.
Sad thing about Zombi U is all the people who get a free subscription to Game Informer in the US from Gamestop will read their crap review and think the game must be crap.

I was thinking the same thing. I could definitely see this being the new red ring of death.
Honestly, I would prefer this controller just being a wired controller...to me its foolish having a device that drains juice so fast that you have to plug it in every 4 hours. I know everything just NEEDS to be wireless nowadays but really, its stupid for something like this. Give me a nice long Xbox 1 length chord and call it a day.

I miss having Edge around during ZombiU. I am now about 12 hours in and this game has such great moments. When it ramps up the action it does it so well, I wonder how good of an action game it could have been but it works. Never felt fear of dying and of enemies like this since the old RE games.
