Here's an amusing fun fact. Several years ago I hacked my Wii with the Smash Bros. soft mod. The original intent was to replace a few games that my son had broken. For a brief period of time he thought it was a great idea to use Wii games as a pair of skates, and I lost a half a dozen games thanks to him. I also took the opportunity to try out a few games I was very iffy on and were impossible to find in local stores like Marble Saga Korinpa and Animal Kingdom: Wildlife Expedition. Anyway the reasons aren't real important, but I deleted the hack after about 6 months because you had to be real vigilant with updating it if you wanted to access the Shop Channel and online play was impossible. Well.... 3 years later they finally did something about it.
My Wii wasn't able to get the system update and kept giving me an error message. Long story short, that is how Nintendo bricks a system once they identify your Wii as having been hacked at one time or another. It doesn't really do much though. As near as I can tell it only stops you from getting into the Shop Channel. I can play games. I can still watch NetFlix. They just won't let me spend more money with them. Boy they showed me...
I PLUS YOU ONE-MILLION TIMES ! ! !
I challenge everyone now to go back to their favorite games of all time and see if they were TECHNICAL marvels that utilized all the special effects, bells, whistles and cutting edge technology that the generation in which they came out in could provide! I would bet NOT!
Tech talk is cool. It's another aspect of the industry and as valid to talk about as say, financial analysis and sales. It gives you another layer of understanding about the reasons why the games you play end up being like that, and of course the ability to point at developer's shortcomings.
I'm about to start Ada's campaign. I hope this game ends on a high note.
Nope.
Boo, Capcom! Maybe I'll just say I'm finished already.
The campaign itself is a lot of fun, good stuff in there. The actual final moments is just a boring rehash of what you have seen already, including one boss experience that is just bad.
Naked chick? I'll guess I'll finish. Ada crawling is always a plus.
Yes it is.
That statement right there is proof positive that RE6 is a mistake on so many levels. Never in a million years would I play the old RE games and say Meh...I guess I'll finish.
It's a good game, don't get me wrong. That statement was sort of tongue in cheek. It's a long way from the glory of RE 4, but still fun. It's a bit scatterbrained at times.
Okay, I suck at the puzzle stages in Catherine. I'm stuck on the 6th day. Thank you, bomb blocks!
