By the way, if anyone is planning on getting Injustice (the DC comics fighting game) when it comes next month, do your best to pick up the Injustice comic book lead-in series. I'm shocked to say that it's excellent. I normally loathe these tie-ins (sorry but the Arkham City one was utter shit), but I'm completely gripped. Can't wait for the game now.
The REAL question is: What system is everyone getting Injustice for? Do you give your Wii U a little lovin' in hopes that it's the better version on the more-powerful system --or-- do you get it for the system that more people have (PS3, 360)?
I am taking a gamble and getting it for Wii U.
I'm thinking if I get it it would be for the Wii U. I have to show support and hopefully more developers will put games on the Wii U.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
Okay, Tomb Raider complaint. Twice now, I have had the HUD come up with a chime and state: "Secret Tomb Nearby. Map Updated." WTF?
Kinda defeats the whole purpose of a "secret" when you fucking announce it. Devs must really think we are completely stupid.
Dev 1 said, "Stupid gamers probably can't find this tomb, after I've gone through all the trouble of hiding it in plain sight."
Dev 2 responds, :"Hmm, your probably right. How about we announce it with a chime?"
Dev 1, "Yeah, but that's not gonna be good enough. Let's put in BIG BOLD LETTERS ON THE SCREEN, and put it on the map automatically too!"
Dev 2, "Heh, I bet they still won't be able to find it! Dumbasses!" *laughs*
Dev 1, "Fuckin' idiots. At least we got their money!" *laughs*
Only played tomb raider for a out an hour, I was falling asleep so I had to stop. This opening tutorial is so generic. In that blog I mention to GG that dev handbook everyone uses now to make a blockbuster game, this game is the book. You can see pieces of every big game gluded together. This gen has become a parody of itself.
That said the game seems cool when you are in the big open areas. The graphics are crazy. I'm sure the game is good but man is this game following the handbook way too much
The first two hours are atrocious. Literally 1 hour is you walking around while the game tells you shit.
Sorry Travo I miss my dad everyday it's been 12 years since he passed. Vader I know people will think I'm nuts but I'm liking RE6 a lot more then RE5 ,,,,,
They're both crap, Bear. It's like comparing one turd to another. Sure, you might like one more than the other, but is it really worth much?
P.S. I enjoyed Hamster's reply.
That was in your Bioshock 2 review.
Keep us updated.
I too will be getting it on the Wii U boys. And as Lex Luthor I will make you cry.
More games than Aspro?
Lara's tits are ridiculous in TOMB RAIDERtm.
That is all.
Whenever I start working on something I always start with creating new gameplay. After that gameplay becomes more concrete, we look at which character is best suited to the gameplay. So I guess from my standpoint, the ideal situation would be that we’re creating an experience that’s so new and so unique that we can present it to consumers with a new character or IP in a way that would be easiest for them to really understand the concept and enjoy the gameplay. But it may also be that in some of those cases it makes more sense for it to involve some of the characters that are more familiar to our fans.
When we created the original Wii Sports, we could have done it as a “Mario Sports” game, but we decided not to. Similarly with Wii Fit, that could have been a “Mario Fitness” game, but in both of those cases we ultimately decided that introducing those games as new IP or new franchises was a better approach. Because those games don’t have specific characters associated with them, people may not view them as new IP, but certainly when we created those games we intended them to be new franchises. It may be that in the future, as we’re generating new ideas, we’ll come across an idea that makes the most sense to release with a new character.
Agreed!the amount of ways they show cleavage is genius.
Tomb raider impressions, while the game is clearly high quality it feels so derivative, like every cliche of this gen is in there. The combat seems pretty good but so far (up to the radio tower) it hasn't opened enough to really be special. That is the thing nothing feels special, I can't find this games hook, what does this game do better or different than any other. It seems great at everything though.
I'm enjoying Tomb Raider a lot. I have some minor complaints here and there (stealth AI issues / obnoxious hint system), but it's a very high quality game overall. The graphics are the best I've seen on the PS3, and I keep stopping the game to look around at the detailed environments. TR is Uncharted with a bit more exploration, but far less interesting characters; Lara being the only one. The combat does get better, but only on Hard difficulty. Normal was way too easy for me, and I play just about everything on Easy these days. I hope an even harder difficulty is unlocked later on. All in all, it's almost exactly what I expected it to be, and I'm quite happy with it.
Glad you are enjoying it though we feel different on RE5. The hate RE6 got makes no sense in the conte t of how other games get praised even if they do the same things.
