As long as Amazon remains unaffected, then I'm fine with no more Gamestop.
That being said, I'd hate to see all of those GS employees--or anyone else--lose their jobs.
I was just going to say the same thing. Make the games $20 on day one, and all is forgiven. Obviously that's not gonna happen.
I dunno about that. I like being able to walk into a shop, get to know the employees and charm them into doing stuff for me. Big box retailers you can't do that, online retailers too. I also hate getting stuff by mail, as I never know when I am going to be home. Wherever you are in the city, there's a GameStop within five minutes travel time.
I don't really think used 360 games account for a third of their business. They sell a shitload of new games too. It would be a hit, but if it really happened, I think more gamers would just migrate to the PS4 rather than just stop gaming all together.
On another topic, have any of the Wii U owners hooked up a harddrive to their Wii U yet? I'm giving serious consideration to moving to an all digital game collection. Trying to figure out if there's a preferred harddrive out there yet.
"Used games are the bread and butter of GameStop's earnings. In its most recent fiscal quarter, 28 percent of the company's overall sales were from used video game products — bringing in $496.3 million. Used games represented over 48 percent of GameStop's gross profits." -- CNBC
I used to be more like that, but over the last six years, I feel like I'm the old man going to a kids store. I know that's not really the case, but that's how it feels whenever I go to Gamestop.
Oh, Hamster... You must be staying up late playing Tomb Raider! Past 9PM! You're getting to be such a negative-nelly in your old age!
Just to add insult to injury, keep in mind both PS4 and the Next Xbox will push Day-One, Digital Distribution of New Releases too!

Thanks GG. That was exactly what I was looking for.
Holy sweet copius fuck sauce dripping all over my face is Mirrors Of Fate hard!
It really ramps up into the second act and I spent a little over an hour stuck on one boss with Alucard. This game is merciless, your life bar gives you about 3 hits and you're dead, while they take about 700 lol. Some challeging platforming and puzzle sections too.
I love it!
Not as much as the other games, but it is very quality in its own right. Very old school.
Uncharted stole heavily from Tomb Raider, Gears of War and Prince of Persia. To remember what everyone thought of Uncharted before and at launch just google "Dude Raider".
If the new reboot steals Uncharted's ground traversal then it's fair play. The zipline stuff and archery looks unique to TR though, and it also looks like they are taking influences from Arkham and Assassins' Creed. From what I've seen off the character development it looks like they are trying something new too.
Excellent points. Totally agree on all of them.
