Dragon's Crown (80) Review
As a side-scrolling brawler, Dragon’s Crown is deep and loaded with replay. As an example of 2D art in gaming, it’s unequalled.

Some Deep Down development details:
The Deep Down demo ran in real time at the PS4 presentation and displayed between 10 and 20 million polygons per frame. It had a variable frame rate above 30 frames per second and a total texture capacity of 2 GB. It ran 30 different shaders at the same time.
The demo can run on a PC with an NVIDIA Geforce GTX 570, 8 GB of RAM, and an Intel Core i7 CPU. The development machines used at Capcom have Geforce GTX 680 and GTX 590 GPUs.
The peak performance of the PS4 is lower than that of an high end PC theoretically.
So the demo was on a PC now factor in that you now have to minus 2 CPU cores and 3.5 gb RAM which the PS4 uses for the OS. EDIT - 1.2gb was limited by GTX 570 that has that amount of VRAM so I guess no memory problems. The 10 million polys are before culling it seems.
More: "It’s possible to use Partially Resident textures both on PS4 and Xbox One. It’s the same technology as the Mega Texture used in Rage by id Software and the DirectX 11.2 Tiled Resources technology flaunted by Microsoft at BUILD 2013 is pretty exactly that. Panta Rhei Can do it as well."
A GAFFER is wobbly on the translation but seems to infer that the demo only used 1.2gb vram
"The 30 shaders they are using are not comparable to previous gen shaders. With Dx9 and last gen shaders had to be much simpler because dynamic branching would destroy performance. Now they can have more complex/intelligent shaders and so they can use less of them to achieve the desired look."
WTF is this, its like the PS2 version.

What?!?! MGS3 looked better.
The assumption is that the trailer is the PS3/360 version, it better be cause the game in this new trailer doesn't look remotely like what we have seen before.
Wow. Well if that is what the difference is going to be between the current and next gen versions then hooray for next gen. Though it seems like they werent even trying. So anyone want to guess which look the Wii U version will have.
Okay, yeah I remember the sweat boss now. I really should try again then since that would be the last challenging boss in the game (according to you).
Now, if Sleeping Dogs can pull off a phenomenal looking open world game on current gen then Watch dogs should be able to. That kind of looks like Perfect Dark.
AWESOME NEWS!!!
There's gonna be a Wii U game worth downloading this Thursday!!
'Member that Cloudberry Kingdom game I was hyping a while back? **See my Light in the Darkness Topic!**
It came out today for PSN and I gave it a try and I can confirm it is a GREAT, GREAT, FUN game!!
It's very Meat Boy-esque, has spot-on controls and the randomized levels schtick it has going on WORKS!!
Don't be fooled by the simple graphics... actually --DO-- be fooled by the simple graphics... it IS a simple game, but that's the BEAUTY of it! You simply run and jump through the platforming levels **so 8 or 16-bit!** avoiding the obstacles and reaching the door at the end. You go into almost a trance-like state as you learn the limits and boundaries of all the things that can kill you. After a while your brain starts to formulate a safe path through all of them almost instinctually and you find yourself running and jumping and --SUCCEEDING-- without even having to think about it! Such classic and time-proven gameplay! I can see why they brought it out to all the systems, rather than --JUST-- Wii U alone --BUT-- it will be on there too as of this week! I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend it!
PS: Music is awesome also!
PPS: Difficulty scaling is --PERFECT-- too! The game also lets you earn an option to make it as hard or as easy as you want! You want a CHALLENGE? This game gives you more than you can handle GUARANTEED --BUT-- when all hope is lost and you have convinced yourself the level is impossible to get by, you can purchase tools to show you the line to follow through the madness --OR-- you can have the computer demonstrate how to do it for you!
**GME... You love Meat Boy? You --NEED-- this game!**
If I buy two select PSN games I get some money back, I already pre bought Duck Tails, that game is on the list. Will check it out.
I should buy this on the PC just to be safe.
In fact, I should buy everything on the PC just to be safe.
Anyone interested in some multiplayer gaming tonight? I feel like killing someone .....with my friends by my side.
New Bully trademark? GG!
Watch Dogs Aisha Tyler trailer.
Why did they even make this? Just to show off bad graphics? I mean I kind of get wanting to kill Aisha Tyler (her stand-up is some of the worst I've ever seen), but this wasn't even gratifying for people who wanted to do that.
Whoops, I totally forgot about the sweat bomber boss (I was thinking of the platforming level). The sweat bomber boss is incredibly easy, unless you're trying to throw the explosives at her. Then it's annoying, but you don't have to do that. SOLUTION SPOILER: Just lure her over to them, then when she starts charging her attack run away. You beat the race. This should be no problem.
Good luck!
*Pre-orders Lightning Returns*
I think you have a rocket launcher then, don't you? Blow everything up (not the outer walls, but the inner ones that explode).
i don;t have a rocket launcher in my current inventory, looks like I'll have to go shopping.
