I just played a little of the Wonderful 101 demo... wow that shit is hard. Anyone who wanted a "hardcore" Wii U game got their fucking wish.
Well FO3 seems to be a bit trickier to mod than Skyrim, what with it being a much older game and all. Nevertheless, after lots of mistakes I got it properly modded and running. Thanks to all the modding the game is also harder than what I remember the 360 version being.
Cool shit man...I love reading about your RPG modding madness.
Ooooh I forgot about the demo...must check it out!
Did I miss drunk Leo tonight?
North side of Vegas is where its at. Bellagio and Caesars Palace are amazing. I got lost in Caesars Palace and I ended up outside in the pool area where it was closed, but I got some great pictures. I ended up breaking even over the weekend, I say that after going up nearly $200, but it happened early in the night so I kept playing and losing. Vegas is packed, tons and tons of people of all kinds everywhere. Loads of drunk people too, my favorite being the totally drunk chick that needs to be held up by her not as drunk friend. One thing I loved, me being a sports nut, was the sports booking rooms. Its a huge area with a million TVs of all sports and a giant wall with all the spreads.
It was a long night, I am dead once again. Before I went back to the hotel I stopped by a gas station to get a late night snack. Well there are slot machines in the gas station and the amazing thing was that they were all filled with people at 1am, lol.
I use the Nexus Mod Manager for the handling of all that stuff, but many of the mods for FO3 are too old to work with it, so they don't always work properly. That made necessary to download the actual Fallout Mod Manager (FOMM) and work with that instead. Many of the mods are so extensive that they overlap or conflict with other ones, so they need compatibility patches so they can be nice to each other and work together like they're supposed to. There's a series of fixes exclusively for that called the FO3 Interoperability Project. Then, after all of your shit is properly installed and running, you need to use something called the Fallout 3 editor in order to create a merged patch with all of your mods as masters. It's crazy, but in the end it pays off hugely. I'm gonna make a thread to detail what I have right now and what it does, in case anyone wants to give it a shot in the future.
But my biggest problem with it is drawing a circle on the touch screen for the unite hand. When you are facing a tough opponent they will send your team reeling and daze them. Then when you want to use unite hand it wont let you complete the circle because you don't have enough men to make a big circle. Only you can't really see this unless you start looking at the upad screen in the middle of a frantic battle. It leads to lots of failed and frustrating attempts to make a unite hand in battle. The game isn't tough, if you use the block and dodge moves available in the demo - look at the touch screen. The whole visual look of the game and gameplay fucks with your brain and yet is quite enjoyable. Not sure it's day 1 but day later for me.
I don't know about real lions but nice statue ones yeah. I didn't know about the other two. Damn I should have consulted you as my vacation planner.
Okay, completed the W101 demo 4 times now, once you get it down this is some satisfying combat. You have to remember to use the block move with big characters to make them recoil and leave them open. Also you need to get this double combo thing down. Instead of making a construct and pressing A you press Y and the move attacks automatically, then with the rest of your team you initiate another move. Also, get used to making a construct then dashing out of it then back into construct. It's easier than it sounds: A - X - A as applicable. Seems like a pretty great game, unique and fun, pretty addictive too.
I'm going to go back to the demo once I get done with Pikmin 3. At the rate I'm going with it, I should have it finished by tomorrow if I don't go for all of the fruit and secret memos.
