Pikmin 3 is just so amazing! Every time I play, I feel so nostalgic, remembering when I traded in practically everything to pick up the first game day one in Savannah so many years ago.
On a slightly unrelated note (but triggered by Aspro's misfortune) ... I really loved getting to watch a good bunch of baseball games this summer. Most of them were minor league but they were still enjoyable. I have a newfound appreciation for the sport ... and four foul balls I picked up and brought home with me.
The one thing that pisses me off is the dead time between pitches. They need to do something about that. Some pitchers just drag no end ... and it's even worse when they keep trying to catch people off base when they're trying to get a headstart and just keep wasting more time. And I noticed it's even worse in later innings especially if the game is not going their way.

I quit caring about baseball years ago amidst all of the scandals. Though I wouldn't mind taking my son to a couple of Braves games when he is old enough to appreciate them.
If you have a minor league baseball team in your area that is the way to go. You can forget about high-paid, steroid ridden athletes and just watch a field of dreamers try to realize their goals. Plus the beer and food (and amazing seats) are all cheaper.
You can usually get the best seats in the park at a minor league game for $13, and beers for $3.
It's also family friendly with ample parking.
In the majors time between pitches is something they have cracked down on, but in the minors less so. Keep in mind that in most cases the pitcher is doing what the manager is telling him to do. In the minors, they may think a pitcher needs to work on his pick-off moves, so they may be instructing him to keep throwing over to first (the minor leagues are primarily for training).
One guy fell off the stands in Atlanta and died this summer. It made me think of Homer's murder of Maude Flanders.

Beer in the ballpark cost $8 this summer even at minor league games. Beer in the 7-11 across the road ... less than $3 and security left the gates after the 3rd inning
But tickets are much cheaper indeed. I usually asked to sit behind home plate and tickets were just 7-8 bucks

After you watch a lot of Hockey, Baseball feels like its in slow motion. Some guys just take waaaay too long to throw the damn ball.
Baseball is all about mindfucking your opponent into submission. It's a beautiful experience, but ultimately one better captured on TV. Though at home you do rob yourself of the crowd watching experience which can be just as entertaining as the game, particularly if you're at a minor league game.
Hey Gamespot people, does that union where you can get people to make you logos and banners and stuff in exchange for games and such still exist? I know the unions are going away, but has that happened yet?
UPDATE: Rayman Legends sold best on Wii U, with 45 per cent of the game's boxed retail sales in the UK.
Official figures from Chart-Track show the Xbox 360 version of the platformer enjoyed 30 per cent of the sales, the PlayStation 3 version 24 per cent. Boxed PC sales made up one per cent.
So why are PS3 owners less enthusiastic? And are low PC sales because they're downloading it? Digital isn't included. Or because of piracy? Or waiting for Steam price drops?
IMO this is starting to look a lot better than Brawl
You weren't joking. It does look better than Brawl.
It shows a broken image link. To me, at least.
Yeah, me too. Oh, I get it now. You were trolling Brawl.

Killer Instinct is 720p
You know, I'd be perfectly fine if all next-gen games were 720p. They could push more graphical effects and higher frame rates that way. Of course, it also doesn't hurt that my TV is only 720p.
GAFs take:
"Rayman again is no game to show if the Wii U is more capable than current gen systems but DF are blatantly lie about IQ on Xbox 360 I have already looked screen by screen comparison from both versions, Xbox 360 do not support 1080p natively it is missing a lot of stuff like particles and smoke effects plus background because it is zoomed (less pixel-lower resolution) which digital foundry do not mention on their face-off. The Ps3 even is running natively 1080p but suffers from the same issues like missing particles and smoke, flame effects but the IQ is intact. Also on the Wii U the background animated images are super smooth, like flames-smoke-arrows in castle rock which on the other versions are like animated 3 frame gifs."
ED- Now some are disagreeing.
