Vader I have a question for you (as well as anyone else who bought Sonic Lost World). I finally got around to trying out the demo. It really didn't seem that bad to me. I haven't completely gotten used to the controls yet, but I could see myself adjusting to it. Is the demo not really reflective of the game's quality? Does it get worse? It just doesn't seem as bad (or as average) as a lot of the reviews I read claim it to be.
There are stages that are better and some that are a huge pain in the ass, it's sort of all over the place. It doesn't get much better than what you played though. I found that gameplay to be the most boring sonic gameplay in years.
"Out of the box, the Kinect-free Xbox One is really no more of a media centre than its predecessor - and we can't help wonder whether all that time, effort and energy would have been better spent making the best games console possible instead." --Eurogamer
The fuck? OF COURSE they should have been focused on making the best games console! There is no question. Still to this day, and this will never change, people buy game systems to PLAY GAMES. That's all there is to it. That you should make the best games console you can is a no brainer. Anything else is just icing on the cake. The problem with Microsoft is they got greedy, and allowed gaming to slip down to 2nd or 3rd place in their priority list so they could try to nudge themselves into even more media markets. Now the core gamers are giving them the finger and MS is having to backpedal. Problem is, Xbox One is what it is at this point, and they're going to have to ride out an entire generation with a console that could have been a much better gaming machine in the face of PS4.
I would think that its common sense that downgrading a games console that people buy to PLAY GAMES on, just to add in other features that most people DO NOT WANT, would be a bad idea.
Unfortunately in a company like that, things are run like a mini government. So I have no doubt that the heads of the Xbox division are forced into doing some things they don't want to do, or they don't think is good for Xbox, by others in the broader Microsoft machine.

I could see it getting boring. It seemed just a little too empty and easy to avoid challenges if you wanted to.
It's intermission if video games live. This is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
Robio nubu final fantasy dude will be at that Orlando nerd fest!
Yep, I posted a while ago about that, and was debating whether or not I should go and see if he'd sign my Super Famicom copy of FFV. Still up in the air about it though. Not really a fan of these kinds of events.

I would not go if it were just cover bands but the man himself... Tempting. Tommy Tallarico seemed excited about it, he maybe going too.
anyway the show was FANTASTIC!!! It wasn't a symphony, it was more a celebration of everything video games. It was part rock opera, classical symphony, even a sing along. Tommy Tallarico was the host and guitar player and he talks about how this medium allows music to connect to the player in a way music from movies can never connect. Its always great to see an audience with a huge range of ages all come together for this medium we all love.
Some of the highlights were castlevania, metal gear, sonic, final fantasy, mega man, and street fighter. They had a local cover band come on stage and do Zelda songs. He got a guitar hero player from the audience to perform a song for a high score, it was amazing. The entire place sang along to Stay Alive! The show changes from place to place so you never know what you will get, it's really neat to see them bring in local bands to the show all because of the love of game music.
It is rare that the game community gets to connect, I don't mean idiots yelling online. Nor waiting in line for a midnight release as that feels more sad than anything. This is a celebration and so many people were there just to enjoy game music. It's great to see how far we have come.
That makes me feel better about choosing a Wii U and PS4 over the Xbox One.
You could potentially use less energy having both a Wii U and PS4 than if you have just an Xbox One and that is combined. PS4 and Wii U only use 218 kWh/y while the Xbox One uses between 210 - 289 kWh/y.
Same here I got him yesterday through Spotpass.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
Halo 1 - 4 remade on Xbox? OH HELL YEAH!!! I'd get that.
Goddammit! I don't want an Xbone, MS!
You'd better not bring back Perfect Dark either!

^ You should run the Xbox division, Edge.

I totally did NOT just buy the Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate: Complete DOA5 Costume Set on this weekends PSN half price sale. Nope. I certainly did not.
Guacamelee vets! I'm fighting Xtabay. How far am I into the game? Btw, her final form is tough as nails.

Pretty miraculous that U uses less than Wii.
