Mario Kart 8 (9.0) AMAZING! Review
"...the fast and furious pace of racing with friends both locally and online is what really kept me coming back." ign.com impressions phantom_leo
I was amazed by the graphics and how different it was from every other Mario platformer. The end boss was incredibly awesome. Too bad Yoshi's Story sucked.
Yoshi's Island has some really amazing levels, but then there are others that just feel like they're really long treasure hunts and nothing more. I'm not sure the GBA version really benefits from the extra levels they included in each world too. The game feels long enough without them. I wonder if those levels are actually hurting it a bit by stretching the game out..
Oddly enough I actually did like Yoshi's Story a lot. That game was as hard or as easy as you wanted it to be depending on how you played it, but it never had that New Super Mario Bros. feel of only being hard if you tried to collect all the items. . You could breeze through it, or you could challenge yourself to unlock the more advanced levels.
This will be what 'saves' the Xbone in my opinion and have been saying so from the moment they disclosed that it would work on an OS similar to Win8. If someone is making a PC game that could technically work on a PC, it'd be madness not to port it over.

I think they mean like W8 tablet games? Unity already allows porting to PS4 and Wii U easily.
If you want to hear from a really neat indie developer and what it is like to live that steam-enabled world, I;d give this week's gameunder podcast a listen. Tom (foolz) did a good job.

People talk too fucking fast: 200 words per minute=3000 words per 15 minutes=just beyond my typing ability at its peak; and my hands are presently talons and claws.

I beat Final Fantasy 10 HD yesterday.
The end is still 10 times harder than the rest of the game, and still tugs on the heartstrings.
