Nintendo to release different Amiibo of same characters. To be read as: Smash bros stances were a horrible idea, here are some that don't require ugly plastic supports!
Wii games finally heading to the eShop! About time. And the Prime Trilogy will be for sale for $10? I don't want it but at that price how do you say no?
Why should I care? I have all those games in my library. Basically they're just allowing you to install Wii games to your HD as you can do with WiiU games, big deal. Where are my GC games dammit?

I haven't watched the direct yet, but wont they be in HD? That would be pretty huge. And hopefully you could use the U gamepad to actually control them.

No HD. These are just the original games. The only graphic improvements will just be related to any native upscaling the game may have contained.
Wii games will be available to download on the Wii U eShop starting today, Nintendo has announced.
Previously, the Wii U was only able to play Wii games through a special Wii mode, in which the console essentially became a Wii and all Wii U functionality was disabled.
However, the company has now found a way to run Wii software through the main Wii U operating system, allowing the use of new features such as purchase through eShop, GamePad use and Miiverse.
The first Wii game to be made available, Super Mario Galaxy 2, launches today and is available for £8.99 / €9.99 for a week, at which point the price will change to £17.99 / €19.99.
Upcoming Wii game releases depend on region. Europe will be getting Donkey Kong Country Returns on January 22 and Metroid Prime Trilogy on January 29, whereas North America will be getting Punch-Out!! and Metroid Prime Trilogy respectively on those dates instead.
Future titles due to arrive also include Kirby's Adventure Wii, Pandora's Tower and Sin & Punishment: Successor Of The Skies.
All games will be subject to the same 'half price for the first week' offer as Super Mario Galaxy 2.
Most games will require the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to play but any games that support the Wii Classic Controller can also be played solely using the GamePad.
Well that's pointless shit then unless you dont already still own them. Metroid may be worth it for the IR on prime 1 and 2.
I think its more pointless to buy a game that's only a few years old that only has an HD facelift. This is a good way to get these games into the hands of people who want to buy them at a very reasonable price.
I wonder how big the files will be. I can see full Wii games filling up the U very fast.

You shouldn't care but I don't have them anymore and I want them again dammit. So don't go shitting in my cornflakes man! This is important!
Your loss Robio. You shouldn't have been so foolish as to sell them From an availability point of view, it just seems odd to skip the GC in favor of the Wii. Of course, getting Wii games to be compatible with the U hardware is much easier, as all that was required was some extra code to enable the U to play the games from the HDD, as opposed to getting a full GC emulator up and running.

I like the half price sale for the introduction week. Reward me for buying stuff immediately dammit.
and I'm also happy to see we are getting Punch Out instead of Donkey Kong Country Returns. I much prefer Punch Out.
I didn't actually sell them. Well maybe one or two of them. But when my son was about 4 years old he pretty much destroyed my Wii library by using the disks as ice skates. After that I became a big proponent of digital downloads.
Oh and everyone should get a hard drive for their Wii U if they dont already have one. It was a great investment for me. Nice to be able to take advantage of the shop sales since Nintendo finally figured out that they are a good idea.
Hmmm yeah, I remember that ice skating issue... I shall hereby stop shitting in your cereals.
I'm still not convinced on buying full games digitally on home consoles. I see the advantages for portable systems, and I consider Steam games to be rather disposable due to their pricing, but I value home console games too highly to buy them digitally.
Are you planning on getting MH4 on launch? I'm definitely getting it at some point, and should some people here get it on day 1 (I'm looking at you Bugsy! ), I might be persuaded to get it on release. I'll be getting one of those second analog slider craddle thingies as well. I've seen that they're still available in shops here, and €20 for one of those beats paying somewhere in the region of €175 for a whole new system.

New3DS hits Europe on 13th of february as well. Also some app for free anime, New3ds only?
Well I'll be.
- Super Mario Galaxy 2, Punch-Out!!, Metroid Prime Trilogy all coming to Wii U as download. SMG 2 due out today.
14.01.15: Super Mario Galaxy 2
- 22.01.15: Donkey Kong Country Returns
- 29.01.15: Metroid Prime Trilogy
20 Euros I think.

Already own them both
