Good to see Nintendo courting the indies, but honnestly I can't be bothered. Most indie games do very little for me. Never Alone seems like something I'd enjoy, but mainly because it reminds me of LostWinds. If anything I enjoy indie games most when I've payed no more than half a Euro for them on Steam.
Maxis may be hurt, but it'll never die! Sucks EA shut down old-school Maxis, but considering they were the ones responsible for SimCity 2013's disasterous launch and mediocre expansion, I'm not surprised.
Hopefully, a new team will do a much better job with the next SimCity. I can't imagine EA would kill that franchise.

If I recall the biggest issue that plagued Sim City 2013 was the mandatory internet connection, and that was a decision that was entirely made from the higher ups at EA, not Maxis. I assumed the lack of servers was also an issue that was created via higher corporate decisions at EA rather than the actual development team.

I'd like to take a moment to say "fuck you" to Capcom and "thank you" to Sega. Earlier this evening I was taking the kids out to dinner and I decided to try out the Smash Bros. soundtrack. I saw pretty quickly that there were a bunch of Pac-Man songs on it, but oddly nothing for Mega Man or Sonic. Makes me a little mad, since my favorite song in the game was the Mega Man remix. That should have been on it dammit. But fortunately none of the god awful Sonic songs made it (no Sonic Colors theme or Sonic Heroes theme), so at least it wasn't ruined with those.
I could play Majora, but I feel as if I'll get put off by it's complexity at the moment. Don't want to start and give up again or I'll never go back.
I've been dabbling with Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate a bit. It's INCREDIBLY good, but two things are keeping me from getting too engrossed:
(1) My general apathetic mood.
(2) I realized I have MH3U on the Wii U still. I also have in my possession the Ultimate way to play MH3U... I now have a 3DS with a second stick. I can feasibly download MH3U and the transfer tool and play MH3 both on the go --and-- and the Wii U. I don't know if I want to play thru 3 first and then go full-force into 4... or just play 4.
That Avengers gif looks so awesome, can't wait.

(GDC) Nintendo's big release schedule for indies Don't Starve, Never Alone and others!

Holy shit, no more Maxis? That's nuts.
Somewhere in the US, a Hamster is crying.
Maxis shut down? Wow, that's crazy.
Battletoads in Shovel Knight sounds pretty cool.
A hundred bucks says Rare is making a new Battletoads game.
There is another maxis still open but the team making sim city is dead. That is crazy.
Also crazy, edge actually looks at women's faces. My world is rocked today.
New trailer tomorrow for avengers! That gif is nuts!
Hmmm... I don't know if I find this funny or offensive...

I seem to be suffering from Post-Persona Depression.
Don't feel like starting anything new. Just tinkering with things I've started before. No motivation to play anything at the moment.
?
Of course he does. When he's aiming.
You should play Shovel Knight and use the Butt code. It makes the game that much more awesome.

I put the blame 50/50.
