WTF is this?!
Dr Ian Joseffson of the Los Angeles Community Hospital warns of a growing trend within gang members to attempt the “deadly operation”.
“This is the third case this year, but we have had many occurrences in hospitals in the region these past years. It seems to be a growing trend within the gang member community”
he told reporters.
“I have no idea where this idea comes from but plating one’s own genitals will only ultimately end in serious medical complications or even death, as we have seen in this case”
This is the 3rd case this year?? Just get gold body paint.
So NX Metroid a cert?

Nintendo had asked Criterion for a take on F-Zero U
Nintendo wouldn't announce a game that was years away "Zelda begs to differ"
This guy is a little pissed off. Reggie was saying that they wouldn't announce a game that was 5 to 6 years away.
Videogamer is using Zelda U as an example, but it was only said to be in development in Jan 2013. So if we were to use Reggies timescale we wouldn't see release till 2018-2019 if Nintendo revealed games that were that far away. Videogamer is way off.
Zelda was only shown off at E3 2014 anyway, presumably because it was intended to release in 2015. Even if we were to be generous and say that other platform holders only took 3 years from reveal to release, Zelda U would still have till end of 2017 to release.
I have AK installed, but I'm afraid of firing it up. It's going to be horrible. >_<
Good thing I got it as a gift, since I didn't pay a dime for it, but still. I am thinking of letting it sit until some announcement or patch comes up to try and somewhat fix this mess.
And yeah Steam user reviews are tearing WB a new butthole. Good thing about the refund program. Which by the way I tried a couple days ago with CS: GO, since it refused to work online for me. I got the response from Steam within the hour and am now waiting for my refund to be credited to my Steam wallet.
I got Arkham Knight and Witcher 3 via the NVIDIA GTX 970 deal. While I'm playing AK and enjoying it quite a bit (though its pacing -- both in plot events and tutorials -- is lacking), I'm getting loads of frame stuttering and very low frame rates on a frequent basis, and this is with nothing set to high, and some graphical features off (again, I emphasize: GTX 970). And if closing the game and trying to use the in-client Steam forum afterward is any indication, there must be a big memory leak, as Steam was running slower than mole asses. I wouldn't call the game a technical piece of shit as many people are, but it certainly runs worse than, wait for it... Arkham Origins. And AO ran worse than Arkham City, which itself had some stuttering that I don't remember happening in Asylum. I thought AK would run great, given Rocksteady's previous two Arkhams, but running worse than Origins, which wasn't even made by them? Now that I didn't expect.
Additionally, I thought the way I obtained the game would make me eligible for the Harley Quinn pre-order DLC, since, y'know, I bought the game before it released -- i.e. I pre-ordered it (well, technically didn't buy it, but whatever). Nope! At least I can take comfort in hearing that said DLC is unbelievably short. I'm mainly interested in the main game and season pass content, but still... deceptive advertising by one of the companies involved (Warner Bros / Rocksteady, Valve, or NVIDIA).
The answer is that the same dev that handled the Origins PC port also handled Knight. it wasn't an in-house PC port such as Asylum or City, which were done by Rocksteady themselves. The blame should be put squarely on WB's shoulders IMO.
Yeah, I heard about Iron Galaxy handling the PC port, though only some people talking about it are claiming that it also did Origins on PC. Heck, I could believe they did even if they hadn't -- the word "optimization" seems completely foreign to them. It would be great if Rocksteady could do a new port and swap it with IG's, seeing as IG apparently only had 12 people. If WB were smart (or maybe I'm just being dumb), they'd have RS do that ASAP. They should oversee IG's patch work at the very least. RS doesn't deserve the hate being directed at this game. Ideally, only WB and IG should suffer for this port's quality. But the damage has been done. I feel sorry for all the great people at RS. And that's the most acronym-dense thing I've ever typed.
Have you seen this shit?!

Red bull exclusive destiny DLC. Holy shit
I got verbally harrassed in a PM on Eurogamer today All because I questionned the PC master race supremacy in a comment on the article of how Batman on PC is graphically inferior to the PS4 version. Anyhow, some 6 year old sent me a PM specifically to tell me 'foad thx..' . Had to look up wat foad meant just to know I was being verbally harrassed. Reported him to teh autorithies nontheless.
Good to see people taking the console wars seriously still.
The problem is, a new fucking Metroid should have been one of the first games in development for the Wii U. Not something you just get around to MAAAAYBEE thinking about doing now. Whether Retro was doing it, or Nintendo contracted another studio....it should have been in the works, yes, 5 years ago.
These guys are idiotic these days.
I think the problem is Activision. I've said since day one when Bungie signed up with them, that they would try to rip people off and nickle & dime us out the ass.
View on YouTube
I don't think you can just blaim it on Activision. Bungie could have chosen to work with anyone really. I mean, they were the Halo guys! I'm sure stuff like DLC and in-game advertising was discussed at length before anyone put anything on paper. Bungie knew what they were getting themselves into, they weren't just some hired guns.
Haven't Bungie pulled this stunt before with Halo and Mountain Dew? This isn't something new to them.
Trying to resell you an entire game for $80 that you already own just to get an expansion pack is new to them.
True, they must have known what they were doing, but I'm not so sure they knew what working with Activision was like in terms of how they control things.
I mean, look how they rip people off on the Call of Duty shit. No doubt they want to apply that to Destiny as much as possible. I'm sure Activision were salivating about having COD & the Halo studio to milk the shit out of.
Shenmue 3 Funding and Budget Statement
Posted by Ys Net
There have been many questions concerning Shenmue 3’s budget and what outside sources will be added to the money collected through Kickstarter. I apologize for not having been more forthright in this area and would like to take this opportunity to help clarify the situation.
Ys Net and I have been putting in many long years trying to find a way to bring back a sequel that so many fans have waited so long for. After learning of Kickstarter, I knew it would be possible to get Shenmue 3 started. Wanting to make the best game possible, I also knew that I would have to look to more traditional means to obtain all the funds that would be needed to create the game I had envisioned.
Sony and Shibuya Productions have been wonderful partners because they believe in Shenmue and want to see the best for the fans and the game. Their investment in (and support of) Shenmue have helped to realize a sequel that will stand proud with its predecessors. While it is not business practice to discuss the specific details of such arrangements, I can say that with their assistance on the production and marketing end, and in Sony’s case with some publishing support as well, Ys Net is able to use more of the money we collect through Kickstarter purely for Shenmue 3’s development. It is also important to note that your funds are going strictly to Ys Net for development of Shenmue 3 – Sony and Shibuya Productions are not seeing a cent of your Kickstarter dollars.
The outpouring of support from all of you, the backers, has been so inspirational. I cannot thank you enough. Having reached our funding goal, I am excited to say that the Shenmue story will go on, and our journey with Ryo and Shenhua will continue. Fans will be able to enjoy the sequel they have waited so long for, and newcomers to the series will be introduced to a unique gaming experience.
Of course, like with any Kickstarter, additional funding will only help us make a better game. On top of everything Shenmue 3 will already bring, the Stretch Goals that I have laid out will add extra quests, events, and new gameplay systems that will make the game even more immersive and take the series to the next level. At the $5 million mark, there will be an all new gameplay feature I would be excited to be able to add to the Shenmue legacy. If we should make the $10 million Stretch Goal, a much larger, completely open world will be yours to explore.
Even if these Stretch Goals are not reached, Shenmue 3 will already be a sequel true to its name, and one we can all be proud of. It is my hope though, that together we can make this Shenmue just as revolutionary as the first two were.
I understand this statement may by late in coming. Going forward, we wish to be as open as possible concerning the game’s development. I would like to again ask for your cooperation and support in helping make Shenmue 3 the best that it can be.
Sincerely, Yu Suzuki
