Well I don't know if all these problems are serious issues or not some do give me pause for concern. The dock does seem to be a problem to me in how it can easily scuff the screen. The kickstand doesn't seem legit though. Games not registering while they are in the unit sounds like another problem. YouTuber Maximilian had a temporary fix of playing with the headphone jack to get it to see the game card was inserted but it is still something that is a problem and you'll want to get a new system when they are more readily available to exchange. No product launches without issues but I don't feel that all of these Switch launch issues should be just swept under the rug though.

It's not a case of being swept under an rug. It's a case of this mass amplification of noise from the internet.
One guy posted a story about 1 media outlet having scratches on the screen in which said article said that they "juggled it into the dock" and that they had been keeping it in "a woolen sock" . And that thread on GAF is now how long, do you think?
Think you guessed right? 5 minutes ago it was 72 pages long. And there's like 10 different variations of said thread and then all the media outlets gather and sometimes pile them all into one collective bitchfest which gives the average gamer an exceedingly bad impression of what has been very well reviewed and so far, very well selling hardware.
If you're really worried about it, buy a $3 screen protector. This thread for instance is emblematic of most of this noise:

I'm not saying that there aren't people out there with genuine Switch gripes, but it's all being amplified by the internet like a megaphone and some people are just shitposting or concern trolling - if you know what those terms mean. There was actually a thread on GAF which specifically made for people not buying Switch so they could all get together in a club (as the thread said) to discuss why and be grumpy. I think the thread title was something like: The Non-Switch Buying Club.
So if you missed it, Switch is Nintendo's best selling hardware launch weekend ever in:
It also outsold PS4 launch numbers in Japan, Wii U too.
Impressive for March?
Switch launch lineup has the 2nd highest review score average on metacritic, the system with the highest launch game review-score-average was the Gamecube.
BOTW gets best reviews in Metacritic history with the most number of perfect scores
Switch launch 'one of the strongest & most successful' console launches in several years says Gamestop - a strange way of putting it, guess he's counting VR as a platform?
Nintendo share value goes up following Switch release
Yeah I think that some things with the Switch aren't serious problems. The kickstand thing isn't a serious problem. The screen scratching isn't necessarily a serious problem. A screen protector just seems like a mandatory purchase. However Nintendo probably should have done a better job with the dock to help prevent that. Putting the pieces with the straps onto the joycons incorrectly isn't really an issue either because I feel people should be more careful and attentive when doing something like that. However I think Nintendo should have done a better job here as well in making sure that there was either no way to connect them like that or make it easier to detach if done incorrectly.
The real serious problems here are the ones who have systems that don't recognize a game cartridge in the slot. Systems that have messed up displays and I don't mean a messed up display that simply needs readjustments on the tv, I mean the ones with messed up displays on the actual unit. Some systems have gotten bricked as well.
While there certainly is going to be some bandwagoning and people just shouting for the sake of shouting I think that there are definitely some things here that are legitimate concerns for some people. While it's great for people that get a new system to have no problems with it, it is extremely upsetting for those who don't so I can understand why they'd be so vocal about it.
I am now going to run around Hyrule nekkid.
Must get nekkid!!!
In zelda.
And GG you are correct about the switch.
Did you guys see the mordor reveal, it's mind blowing stuff! Actual LOTR epic scale war with good gameplay, not dynasty warriors crap.
Yep, looks very cool. I still need to play the first game.
It's pretty damn good. I liked it. Definitely has the LOTR feel.
Yeah it really looked good from what I've seen and it was pretty well reviewed. It's cheap now so I may get around to picking it up. It would be even better if it was offered as a free game on Xbox One one of these months.

So that's pretty sick....the 1080 Ti beats the Titan X at half the price. I would be pissed if I bought a Titan X...but then again I would never pay that much for a graphics card in the first place. Over a thousand dollars? Pfffffffft.
Playing Call of Duty Infinite Warfare.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't see what all the fuss was about in regards to the complaints on this one. This is one of the best COD in years as far as the campaign goes. It has actual variety, and the way you can pick missions is pretty damn cool. Perhaps all the complaints were about the multi-player...idk. The campaign is better than Battlefield 1 which I thought was good too.
Yeah the campaign in Infinite Warfare is great. Oddly it's the multiplayer that feels pretty bland, with the exception of Zombies which is pretty good.
If or when you guys ook for a switch carrycase get this one. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01MS7BZ41/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1489245936&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=navitech+nintendo+switch&dpPl=1&dpID=519htu7-ErL&ref=plSrch mine came today.
It's the only case that is the width of the switch tablet without the joycons so it's more compact but also has space for the joycons too. Excellent product. This looks cool
