Fucking Nintendo...always about the graphics enhancements instead of gameplay. Especially when it comes to these 2006 remasters.
Good luck GG. Take switch with you, you can have an office party. It seems ok I've seen it in a commercial so I know it happens everywhere.
I prefer to have my Switch parties up on rooftops myself.
They can use their mouths and give you a blowcon .
I always get these Shenmue 3 update emails however often they do them...at least once a month. And you know, I never even bother to click on them....just delete. I just don't give a flying fuck about the latest artist to join the team, or the new animation for some random street hooker. I just want to play the goddamn game. Send me an email when that's going to happen.

Looking good with the 2009 era Nelly Furtado lookalike at ass level.
Funny I haven't started full swing yet so I did some updates.
Wonder what Switch ports Capcom are doing. RE7 would be interesting.
Gamestop has reasonably priced Switch bundles (system+ only 1game) $359.99 in stock. I'm tempted to get the Mario Kart Bundle, but I'm very hard pressed to do so since I already own it plus DLC on Wii U.
I can't believe SF2 passed the capcom test, has anyone passed the unreasonable capcom test?
RE series sales. RE7 at 3.7 million, still short of their goals. RE5 over 10 million.
Resident Evil 5 only sold that well because it was the sequel to Resident Evil 4. The hype was insane. By contrast, outside of the diehard fans it didn't feel like Resident Evil 7 got much hype at all. As games though, I feel they're pretty equal in terms of quality. Just totally different styles of play.
Resident Evil 5.
I'm amazed at how many morons in that GAF thread are saying Capcom made a mistake with RE7 and need to go back to making action games.
Ummm, Resident Evil was supposed to be a horror game in the first place. It was never really designed to be something easily accessible for the boring mainstream. "Well, from a business perspective" ok Bill fucking Gates...what the fuck do you care about a business perspective? Because I care more about getting a product I actually like, rather than wanting somebody to design something around reaching the largest audience. But apparently there's people out there who would rather have their entertainment designed to make THE MOST MONEY, regardless of whether they actually like it. LOL...humanity is fucked.
This is like wanting your favorite music group to change their ways and start designing music that sounds like the Spice Girls or the Backstreet Boys...because making the darker, edgier music they are currently making just isn't bringing in enough MONEY.
Regardless, it also boggles my mind that almost 4 million sales isn't good enough anymore. For a game that takes place in a first-person view in a series that has always been character driven, on top of the game not having much at all to do with previous games and being a follow up to RE6, I think those numbers are pretty solid. That's like double what the Metroid Prime games sell.
In closing, I would rather have no Resident Evil games at all, if all I could get is games that I don't really like because they have to appeal to Johnny Moron who lives down the street and just wants to hold the right trigger down all day while talking shit to people online. Just like I wish Metallica would have stopped making albums after And Justice For All came out in 1988 because everything they've done since then has been garbage. But their newer albums SELL BETTER...so maybe I should convince myself they're good.
Splatoon 2 bundle? Arms bundle?
Yes, RE4 Wii edition and Umbrella Chronicles passed their test. The result was another lightgun RE.
As someone who has never played RE7, just going by what I saw as a consumer who wasn't going to be able to play it anyway - to me all I saw was an American Horror movie environment like a straight up Texas Chainsaw Massacre dealio. Not the usual Capcom cheese machine which is fun and what RE is. And the first person viewpoint, it just felt like it was characterless outside of that. There was no main character to latch onto like Chris, Leon, Jill etc and the press really didn't showcase to me as a superficial observer - they didn't explain well enough or easily enough for me to get an idea of what the game actually was. So in some ways it felt like a gamble you to buy into it to try and see what it was.
Yes it does have that kind of vibe, and yes the game is very characterless compared to really any other game in the series. But it IS a very well made horror adventure and it has lots of the little gameplay quirks the series used to be known for, like searching for a key to open Door X, or using chests to store supplies, or being conservative with ammo to not fuck yourself later on.
It feels like a spin off game the same way that the Revelations games do, but in a completely different way obviously in terms of style. I really hope the RE2 remake plays like a modern version of the original like the RE1 remake did. I don't want it to be an action game like RE6, and I don't want it to be like RE7 either. I want it to be what it is SUPPOSED to be.
Raven, get the Splatoon bundle.
Splatoon is life, get it.
I didn't like the 1st Splatoon much, and I don't play online ever, so not an option. Id get more value out of replaying Mario Kart. Anyway, all bundles are sold out now. I'll wait until I can either get the system alone or with a game I'm actually interested in.
That's the smart thing to do my man.
