I look at it differently. I see it as the moves to prepare for the day when consoles are gone. I know people have been saying "the next generation will be the last generation of consoles" since the launch of PS3 and 360, but I think we actually are at that point now.
Netflix has shown that exclusives seem to matter a lot more when it comes to subscription services.
I am still in shock, this is the biggest megaton news ever? It's insane. They say they will keep some games multiplatform but add exclusive content for xbox. Watch them do something like multiplayer CoD only for PS or some shit. MS now owns Crash, Spyro, Tony Hawk, Diablo, Warcraft, Overwatch, and CoD and more and all of them should be coming to game pass soon! I get to play the new crash! CoD "free" on gamepass day one, wtf.
Sony can't respond to this, they don't have the money. MS just came in on their Death Star and blasted any plans Sony had for their own service. Sony and square need to make a deal. Hell all Japanese companies need to Voltron and form a mega company to fight back. Begun the game wars has!
Remember how cute it was when Ubisoft was fighting off buyers for like a measly $10 billion. A mega shark is coming and there is no fighting back.
Nintendo is more of a wild card. For the amount of money that's out there, I think they almost have to make some acquisitions just for self protection. I wouldn't be shocked if we saw Sega and Nintendo merge. Capcom might even be a possibility for Nintendo as well, though I still see them more destined to fall into the Sony camp. I just don't ever see your resident evil being a Nintendo exclusive.
I know I would. Think about the insane money he made selling his stock at 45% above market price. He's laughing all the way to the bank.
Microsoft right now:
Took a while to build up, but it's shown enough variety, cool designs, attention to detail and addictive gameplay for me to call it.
Haven't even tried Co op yet.
Perfect game for Switch too.
Bought this for £0.99
As soon as I heard it's by the same devs as Agent A, which I loved.
GamesPass is already not going the Netflix route: it's growing in content, not shrinking!
Fair point. I really can't see why anyone would want to keep an ongoing subscription to it these days.
I see how it is. Microsoft makes a purchase today so you need to go one up them.
I fully expected to wake up today and find out that yesterday was all just some fever dream. Apparently it wasn’t.
Would be so fun to play this together.
I thought they were just going to do an online event again? Or did they finally realize they'd have absolutely nothing to show and have lost nearly all relevance?
