I camped out for a console only once. I waited a couple hours to get my Wii pre-ordered at GameStop. I got there at 7:30am and was 14th in line.

The store was nice enough to hand out vouchers at 9am, so we didn't have to wait until it opened at 10am to pay. It was especially nice for me since the kids in line asked me what games I was going to get my kids. They looked at me oddly when I told them it was for me and I didn't have kids. One of them said it was cool that I was still playing games at my age. Hrm  That's the first time I actually felt old LOL

There's no way I'd do that today, though.

The only time I ever pre-ordered a console was the Wii U. I think we all know how well that worked out.

My local Best buy had a lot of Wii U consoles available on launch day; no pre-order required. I only saw one guy buying one. That's when I figured Nintendo was in trouble. I almost bought one, but held off another year for more games to come out.

Well, that was quick. Mods have already been released to fix the colorgrading issues for Oblivion Remastered. Looks much more like the original. PC gaming rocks. 👍

Could use more bloom, though.

I never did the camping thing. The Wii and GameCube are the only consoles I picked up on day one.

I hope Nintendo adds some Switch 2 games as a part of the voucher program. I would love to preorder Donkey Kong and Metroid.

Played a bit of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Very beautiful looking game, engaging gameplay, and an interesting premise.

Shin'en interview confirled it's all new tracks. Will be oicking the new FAST up sale day as the Switch2 then. Gameshare, where only one copy of the game is required, works over the internet too. That'll need to be a pretty fast connection though! Badum-tsss...

Always found the handling too heavy on FAST.

Might get it anyway just to see how it looks.

They have a similar function on Wolfenstein youngblood on switch.

You can buy a version where you can play with a friend who doesn't own the game. I assume you send them a code, they download a bit of the game or a whole game,  but they can only play online with you?

I just came across that game yesterday. Looked interesting, but I couldn't. Quite figure out what it was about. Please continue to share impressions as you play. Thank you in advance for your compliance.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 continues to be excellent. Visually gorgeous and has great music and sound design. Well written and well voice acted. Combat is really fun and keeps you engaged. Parry timing can be a bit snug but well worth it and quite satisfying when you get those counter attacks. Easier to dodge but you don’t get those powerful counter attacks that you get from parrying. Good to use though to learn enemy attack timings. It’s never frustrating though because the save system is extremely generous. It saves after every fight and picking up items so whenever you die ton enemy you can get right back to fighting them again. It’s a bit like the Souls games in that enemies are specifically placed and only reappear when you rest at a flag. Flags are for leveling up, acquiring skills, assigning Pictos, which are basically “perks”.

So far this game looks to be a very strong contender for GotY.

How long ago was Clair Obscur announced? I swear I read an interview about a game with exactly the same premise at least five years ago...maybe more.

Not a fan of the Switch2's 'digital key cards'. The biggest advantage of digital is that you don't have to muck about, store and swap in and out physical media. I don't care if it means I can sell the game later. If I want to put up with physical media it's because it's fir a game that I feel more attached to, and I want the damn thing to be stored physically.

These key cards just seem to combine the worst of both worlds and are in no way a form of physical media.
