Maybe.
Got that game a few years ago in the Slayer's bundle, but mainly to have Doom 3 again and merely try the others. Doom 3 was my first Doom, and I've barely touched the original and 2016. They're not my thing. I want something like Doom 3 again, but series fans would likely say the opposite, as it was nothing like the rest of the series, before or since. Give me another slower-paced horror FPS, id!
Agreed. Doom 3 fits my gameplay style much better.
I thought about it for just a second and realized, no, I didn't play that until I was in college. And then I paused a little bit longer and remembered I actually didn't play it until right after I graduated college. So yeah, a bunch of 30-year-olds were making me feel old today. Fuckers.
This weekend, I've been playing Sonic the Hedgehog 1 (Genesis). I beat the game but was unable to get all of the Chaos Emeralds in order to see the good ending; I got five of them, so not bad. I will make another attempt soon.
I've also been playing Ninja Gaiden (NES). My hands, thumbs and wrists all hurt. Fuck this game.
This weekend, I just kind of goofed off with a couple of games after finishing South Park. I played a little of Halo Infinite and started a game of Ninja Gaiden II Black.
Been playing Ninja Gaiden II Black this weekend. Man I love this game. Graphical upgrade is quite nice.
What system are you playing it on?
I'm still diligently working my way through M&L Brothership. The game gets better once Bowser and his minions are introduced. Their writing is much more witty, their story is somewhat engaging and the battles are better too. Too bad they only pop up after about 20 hours. Their chapter also seems to have already ended.
There's been a story reveal that was obvious from the very start and was revealed in such a deadpan matter that even if you were totally clueless you'd still not have cared. Anyhow, I'm currently 30 hours in and I think I'm close to the end. I've uncovered all fo the map and seem on my way to the villains stronghold. Here's hoping the game doesn't send me off on some kind of wild goose hunt around the discovered islands or something and just lets me get to the boss.
I'm thinking of playing an older M&L RPG after this, to see if the earlier ones were indeed much better, or if I've just become much harder to impress. On the other hand, I might want to play something else as a palette cleanser first.
