Yeah, I appreciated that about Y2, but honestly I didn't find the voice acting in the original to be distracting.  Such a great franchise.

I think in the UK its price was comparable to the GC launch price.

Well if you consider that it comes with a game packed in. That's pretty impressive considering inflation.

GC was £150 and Wii was £180 and games are £40 brand new in shops, £30 online. So yeah, same price.

 

I thought the price for the Wii was decent. It was said that Nintendo were making a slightly less then $50 profit from the get-go which is ok by me. I think us gamers have been spoiled by manufacturers releasing their systems at a loss. While I certainly appreciate that I'm not going to begrudge a company for wanting to make a profit. Plus the system came with a packed in game which is certainly a nice thing to see return. I hope next gen all three do that.

 I think the pack in is what annoyed me. I would rather just be able to choose the game I wanted packed in. Although admittedly it was Wii sports that sold the system. If you consider what wii has over GC, motion controllers, wi fi, VC, wiiware etc etc, then coming out at a price similar to GC and all these years later with inflation that was really good. I dont usually buy consoles at launch because of the price but in the case of those consoles they were reasonable from the start.

If the game was about that tiny fish leaving his coral home to explore the vast ocean to find his lost family from evil fish wizards and along the way he meets new friends, learns new fish powers and explores giant ocean dungeons while battling the hordes of evil fish monsters... then yes its GOTY.

Yeah that was harsh. I should say I am sure Endless Ocean is a fine game, blah blah blah, and I will probably enjoy it very much when I do play it. Till then I will make fun of it.
