In all the nearly 20 years of playing Street Fighter, I have relied solely on game-pads. I couldn't get it into my head that a joystick could possibly be any better. After getting to know A LOT of tournament level players over the years, I've finally decided to bite the bullet and give in. I'm not trying to go pro. That sadly will never happen for me, as I have never had enough skill to do so, but I am tired of feeling like I am disadvantaged versus people using a stick. This is going to be a H-U-G-E adjustment period for me --BUT-- the incredible quality of SSFIV has inspired me to take the next step! Wish me luck!

It's a surprisingly difficult transition to make.  I spent a lot of time in the arcade with older Street Fighter games, so I thought when I picked up Tastunoko vs. Capcom I'd be able just go back to how I played.  No such luck.   I still use my stick for some other games, but as far as fighting games I actually stick with the classic controller.

I think part of the difficulty that I had was how you use the controllers.  In the arcade you're standing up, so your arms are in a very different position than when you're sitting down.  So it just never felt right to me and I couldn't adjust. I'm sure with time you'll do fine and you'll figure it all out though.

So first the rumor about Jet Set, now Shenmue 2 coming to XBLA?  Something must be going down.

I'd love to see the Dreamcast games come out on Virtual Console (the VC seems more like a permanent library to me).  It would be incredible to get games like Segagaga (never going to happen).

I hope that's not true about Tri-Ace. I know Resonance of Fate and Star Ocean Last Hope hasn't sold that well but I hope they rebound. Last time I heard, there were rumors they were making Valkyrie Profile 3 for the 360, which I think is a bad idea. They need to put this on the PS3 first if they want to stay alive. Screw Microsoft!
