I HATE YOU NPD!!! This is so stupid what we have to do to get numbers.

360 at number 1 even in November, I told you guys that the 360 has replaced the Wii has the usual #1 spot on these lists. Ever since the price became equal they have beaten the Wii and it will continue. That said the Wii continues to do very well but it is time for a change cause its not the dominant super power it once was on these charts.

PS3, holy crap they are going nowhere. They need a $100 price cut if they really want to compete.

CoD no surprise. GT5 is low but is was one week of release and I bet most people had no clue it even came out because of the botched launch. Next month it will do fine and blow away Need for Speed. DKC numbers must be huge, nice to see.

Fucking hell. I knew it was going to sell great but it sucks to actually see it happen. Such a bad idea getting rewarded.

It's not like it's a huge difference and NPD isn't 100% accurate as we (should) know (I believe developers have mentioned it being up to 30% off in the past for game sales), they just track the major stores, and it's the whole US, there are tons of smaller stores to go to that would easily lessen or strengthen the difference between 360 and Wii. The sales are roughly the same basically,  almost 1.3m vs 1.4m. MS had the whole Kinect marketing bang, what did Wii have? DKCR? Hardly the same type of system selling potential. Of course, that was still thanks to their decisions while Wii Relax has dropped off the face of the earth for whatever reason (held back due to issues or cancelled for being shit) so they deserve all this all the same, but still, the result needs the qualification, imo.

Notice the spin on the Kinect numbers before despairing though, dollar worth, like duh, it's the most expensive accessory by a mile. Of course we already knew it did super good regardless, 2.5 million since launch or something, but we'll see if that continues past the 500m marketing drop off point...

Hmm, could the wii version be a big part of that increase? Oh it includes PC as well. There is a DS version?!

Kinda strange that Wii and 360 go so high and PS3 sees no huge bump. I guess Kinect pushed the holiday party angle and Wii already has that vibe. Move and PS3 maybe doesn't appear so approachable to the unwashed masses in adverts?
