I think so. I guess it will be GTA in 50ies LA, so sort of like Mafia in terms of core gameplay but hopefully better in a lot of ways. I just think that such a world has lots of possibilities for some incredible plotlines which Rockstar seem to be quite good at.

So, things do seem to be leading up to a R18+ rating for games.
Yeah, it's going to happen. Too bad they couldn't have helped the retailers by passing this just after the election, in time for Xmas sales. But still, it's good thing. Thank you EB, Game and Harvey Norman for the lobbying.
In the UK we got an R18 rating for porn only to be sold at licensed porn shops. The BBFC were defeated by their own independent council who after years of bannings finally said - it's okay. We finally got to watch films like Marathon Man and Straw Dogs etc too.

Wow the game looks fantastic. Its everything I wanted a new Tomb Raider to be. I have always wanted to see Lara die in horrible ways, the TR always opened itself up to it but I figured they would never do that to Lara. Finally they are, sweet! Metroid like progression and an open world to explore, perfect.
The original had pretty brutal deaths for its time. They didn't have tons of blood but Lara was frequently drowning, leaping to her death leading to a broken mess, getting run over by boulders, impaled by spikes, etc... As for how the game looks, those screens didn't show much, most of it seemed to be from cut scenes and a QTE... I just hope it's more exploration and platforming than genociding the natives... It's not the first time they promise a reboot and hype it to hell and back though... It's also a bit weird they didn't use the new Lara in the Guardian of Light to get people more familiar with her before the new Tomb Raider hits...
