Japanese Software Sales Charts for First Week of 3DS
I just looked at the software numbers, and maybe it's just me but the software sales for the 3DS look a little light. Looks like the current attach rate is maybe 1:1 at best. Is a game bundled with the 3DS that I forgot about?
Leo has become GG. It has come full circle.

I refuse to get excited for the 3DS since I can't afford one.
But Zelda...Some of those bosses/minibosses look cool and the gameplay, like balancing on a tightrope while knocking off an enemy look cool. I hope the video only scratches the surface of the new gameplay we will see.
Its time for the epic Zelda trailer breakdown.
After the clouds the first shot is Link on the steps of the entrance to what I guess is a dungeon. The entrance is in a forest, you get a quick glimpse of it.
So you smack the door in certain ways to open, ok.
Lets look at the HUD. Down is sword dude, just like Midna in TP. Most important is the Shield bar, what is that? This location looks like its in the castle like dungeon. The next shot shows floating bad guys and you have to cut them in a certain way, looks like a great new enemy, like keese but harder to kill. This area is very strange, it looks to have a series of platforms off to the side, looks like a place you have to hook around to get through. As the camera pulls around you see a very strange metal like door.
Next scene is in the same location as the last, brick walls mixed with a strange design on the walls. Here link is fighting a mechanical tiki pole thing, nice.
Next is the above shot. I guess this is a lava dungeon, we saw this at E3.
One of my favorite scenes, you fight a giant ogre on a tiny snow bridge. You could hack the shield down to nothing. This is a snow area, no clue if its a dungeon or not. Next is a bamboo cutting mini game.
I love this part, tight rope fighting! Its the same dungeon as the first door you see in the trailer. It looks like the dungeon takes place on the outsides and insides of a palace of some kind. Next its a scene where you use that golden flying beetle. Its in the same dungeon, notice the treasure chest, that is the room where you find that item, so the first dunegon item (I assume first dungeon) is the beetle. You shoot it at a spider or something on the celing. Next you see the beetle flying around a huge room, clearly the inside of the palace, all the same dungeon.
Love this fight, the lizards actually block attacks. This is in the lava dungeon. The next scene is crazy a huge desert landscape and a spiky rolly electrified thing is trying to kill Link. As the camera pans around you see that the desert has walls, you seem to be enclosed in some area behind small walls. This could be what they mean when they say overworld and dungeon will be mixed.
Next scene shows link throwing a bomb right into an enemy shell. The area has lava so it maybe the lava dungeon but there is a lot of rock, looks more like the side of a mountain. Next is crazy golden door thing, I cant see where this fits in, a new area I guess. It shows that the game has Zack and Wiki like puzzles. Yay!
Four armed Stalfos, hell yeah! Seems like an egyptian like dungeon, possibly what that door leads too. Maybe the sand area earlier is connected. Next we get a glipse at the new badguy, side kick? He looks dumb.
Gold four armed statue boss fight (probably mini boss). Link has the whip at this point, so he probably gets it in this dungeon, seems like the egypt dungeon.
I guess you have to send the whip at that spot on its head.
The final shot is this dude disappearing. Not sure what he is sitting on. Just give us Ganon, why waste our time with crappy side villains.
And that is it. So we saw 3 possibly 4 different dungeons. We know where you get two of the items. Sand, lava, snow, forest, all shown so far. Lots of four armed enemies.
BTW what is the item when Link is fighting the tiki statue thing. Is that a potion?
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

FORGOT TO LISTEN TO THE PODCAST!

Mortal Kombat looks INCREDIBLE! Day one! MK is back!
Lucky you don't live in Australia.
When did that country get so pussified.
When the state of New South Wales was established.
Vader just because it is a desert does not make it Egyptian themed. With the four armed skeleton and the giant golden statue I would argue it is more Hindu themed.
And why bring up Ganon? We already had him twice in a row! Let him rest! OoT introduced the origins of Ganondorf, this game takes place eons before OoT, it is highly unlikely that Ganon will be in there.
Ninja Gaiden Beaten using DDR Dancepad.
In other news, I tried Tales of Vesperia today. Amazing visuals, god awful combat and lcoalization (and no way JP voice option). Shelved. Then tried Infinite Undiscovery. Wow, no wonder people dump on JRPGs these days. I'm going back to the 16 bit era for my JRPG fix. I might try Persona on PSP, which is only 2 gens ago, but maybe today is not the day for me to try new games.
Wow just read the Zelda thread in the GGD and I saw this
