So, another week went by. What have you been playing?
I spent all of the long weekend at my hometown. I brought my 360 with me, and spent a good chunk of time finishing Oblivion's main questline. Nicest thing to get out of it was the dragon armor set. Oblivion's expansion, Shivering Isles, on the other hand, is proving to be quite good so far. In many ways, much better than Oblivion itself. Landscape is bursting with weird colors and bizarre flora, the two realms of the isles and the people inhabiting them have very interesting undertones based on mental illnesses, and the quests seem to be at least more varied and interesting than the ones found in Oblivion, Dark Brotherhood notwithstanding. Also, Sheogorath is a weird but fun bastard, and its butler, Haskill, is awesome.
Sheogorath is the nutty dude I did that mission for in the main storyline.
How is Lackey working out this year? (not trolling, I honestly don't know).
True.

What I've been playing.
- Red Faction 3, PS3 -- Whatever it's called. It's a Mercenaries type game, but more fun. I respect Volition for breaking awya from their FPS heritage and trying something new. It's pretty boring, but that mostly has to do with the Martian setting.
- DQ6. It's fairly enjoyable at this point. I'm Lv 23 around 13 hours into the game. I started with the jobs system, doesn;t seem to add anything to the game. This was the first DQ not localized by the genius that localized 4,5,7,8 and 9 -- and it shows.
- Outrun 2 for XB. After unloacking all the tracks in SEGA and SONIC All-Stars Racing I decided to try Sumo Digital's other racer. There are some simularities. Much more difficult -- a more quarter-guzzling mentality.
Watched Mrs. Aspro beat Enslaved and 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand. Both games stand up to a second review.
This weekend I was all over the place, gameplay-wise. I seem to have lost the will-power to play one game at a time. In no particular order:
A truly excellent reboot, featuring the best of classic FF with elements of DQ thrown in as well...
Metal Flan anyone?
This would most likely be the next game I would beat,
if I would STOP starting it over and over again!
Got tired of the puzzles in Portal 1, but my God did I forget what a well-written series this is! Funny as hell!
Really, really wanted to play this online this weekend... Playing Tag Tower more than anything, but not as often as I would like!
.....Shagrath?
He pitched great tonight. 8 shutout innings, they won 7-0.
Oh. I played the worst fighting game ever made last night - Super Smash Bros. Melee on the Wii (if that's what it is called).
It looks amazing good on my HD TV for some reason. Iga -- why would that be? It looks less worse than Wii games usually look.
I liked the backgrounds and music (and fan service). But as a game -- there doesn;t seem too much control with it.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileOh no... do people actually like that game?
Are you guys kidding?
EDIT: Okay just checked Metacritic. Just another thing I'm upside down on in life... jeez. That's amazing.
Nah, don't worry aspro. You got it right this time. Those games are shit.
Sorry Aspro you are in the confused minority on this one. It's hardly a traditional fighting game, but even if you strip away the fan service, I think there's a good unique fighter.
If you want to play a truly bad fighter, Castlevania Judgement is waiting for you.
As far as what I'm playing not too much. Harvest Moon: Back to Nature is pretty much it. I'm now into the Summer so it's getting pretty addictive. But I was kind of busy and also have been on a bit of a movie kick too. Finally watched Inception this weekend... still not sure if I liked it, but it challenged me and if nothing else I did appreciate that.
You are shit!
Smash Bros is amazing.
It does look great I have to say, it and the Mario games look great for some reason. Where as the rest of the Wii games look asstastic on my HDTV. Still Smash brothers has never really been much of a fighting game, it sucks as a fighting games. It's more of a button mashing platform competition. Maybe they use such great art assets that it offsets the low res? RE 44 on Wii looks so bad I can't hardly play it, I swear it looked better on Gamecube, maybe because I was playing it my tube hdtv? Anyway Smash Brothers can be fun, but its not a fighting game in any sense what fighting games have been. Not like thats a new thing, I own every version of it from N64 to Wii. Its ok I get tired of it fast.
Where the fuck is my PSN ? GODAMN IT SONY!!!! I want to play my Hustle Kings. You bastards!
I love the timing of this. I almost never play online. Over the last few months I only got online to play U2 with you guys. Of course on the week I have three games to play online PSN goes down and will probably come back as soon as I leave.
HERE WE GO!!!!!
This is on Nintendos website
Its coming...
