Farcry 3 looks great but I think its gonna be one of those wait till its cheap kinda games for me.
I'm hoping whatever Retro Studios are working on is out by this time next year, and as much as I'd like new Metroid, I really want something NEW from them. This is the best chance they've had to make a new IP, right now, in years. Since Gamecube launched.
Um, in the next couple months we've got The Wonderful 101 coming right? I'd assume much more multi-platform stuff, Pikmin 3 is close.....Rayman Legends. Wii U needs more edgy exclusives soon a la Zombi U though...it seems most of the big ones in the next few months are family friendly.
I'm probably set for games until Febuary or so...I have soooo much to play. Will Likely not buy Dishonored or Far Cry 3 or anything for awhile.

I believe it was you and (certainly) GodMode that convinced me to get the 360 version, coming out on December 4th. The reviews of the last one cemented my decision even more so!
Dice dev on hearing what 4A games said about Wii U's horrible slow CPU
Guy is not mentioning, that the GPGPU runs things the CPU would normally handle to offload tasks. The GPGPU from "a completely different generation" as Shinen said. And as Sumo said games that are GPU focused will look better on U but games with high floating point number calculations might run into problems. I'm still wondering if their code is optimised or not for out of order CPUs like U's which, even with a lower clock speed is more efficient because it does not waste cycles. The Microsoft engineer said that a DSP frees up 50% more CPU power for tasks and bemoaned the 360s lack of one. This DICE dev is saying physics and gameplay runs off the CPU but the PC GPGPU that U's is based on has a video up on youtube showing the Froblins AI demo running just on the GPU. Another dev said that AI was supposed to run on the U GPU but devs were not assigning it to the right place, instead putting it on the U CPU and having problems because of it. I've read so much on this subject, it's not just a new console the system has a whole new architecture for consoles. At the moment the shoddy ports are worrisome but I think in time the games will look a lot better. Remember that the PS3 is more powerful than the 360 yet still has many occasions where multiplatform games run worse.
