I finished Luigi's Mansion 2 this weekend. I can't recommend it enough, incredible game. I'm also near the end of my Bioshock run, still an amazing game.
i downloaded Little Inferno for the iPhone this weekend. It's a hell of a lot fun. Simple but addictive. If you're gonna download it, make sure you're using a iPhone 4S or higher. It wouldn't work for my phone.
Can't talk about this weekend yet, as I can't quite put it into words. One of my friends and I discovered an awesome place for brunch with a menu that had some items that may strike a familiar chord with some of us.
There wasn't too much time for gaming except for the train ride to my destination. On the way home, I just couldn't bring myself to play.
While I was where I was, I had one of those "Golden Moments" that only Nintendo could provide. It all began by us playing a particular Wii U game. My two friends and I laughed until were cried, cried until we couldn't anymore, then made each other laugh once again.
Gaming was what brought us together and made them the brothers I never had. Gaming has been something we've done since the start of our friendships and now it was with us at the end. The three of us will never be together again like we were this weekend, but I now have a lifetime memory, that will remain near and dear to me and comfort me as the three of us become two.
That's it for now.
Damn that is tough to hear Leo but glad you made the best of it.
Amazing menu BTW, you watching the show?
Just gots LEGO CITY - over and out.
Listen to the podcast to find out what I've been playing.
Also, Spec Ops co-op. No AI, random objectives to keep things interesting; a surprising amount of fun. Sold stuff so far, and a great, satisfying challenge.
This weekend I played the game of visiting Athens and walking up the Acropolis to the Parthenon and a whole lot of other ancient ruins with a good old friend from university. No videogaming then, but came home to find Luigi's Mansion 2 in the post
Glad to hear what you've all been doing and that it's mostly been happy gaming. +es all around!
Leo ... playing Nintendo together and laughing and crying and laughing again ... and remembering and crying and smiling. <3 <3 <3 <3

Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
I have a new monitor. This is ridiculous.
I'm going to gt neck pain just from looking from side to side of the screen.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on the 3DS is both incredible and a tiny bit disappointing. It's incredible to me that it's an exact translation of the Wii U game. Anything you can do on the Wii U, you can do on the 3DS version. All monsters, items, equipment and Quests are the same on the 3DS. It looks DAMN good too. In the heat of battle, you kinda lose the 3D, and I found it to be more of a distraction than an attraction, so i just turned it off while travelling.
It was GREAT to be able to play on the train. I finished quite a few Quests. I captured my first Monster. I got Cha-Cha and gathered a whole bunch of resources. I went on to Capture my first Great Jaggi last night before going to bed. Wii U sitting right there, I still fired up the 3DS to play while I was in bed. Touch screen Item uses is VERY handy also.
All in all it's a great, great game and awesome supplement to the Wii U version --HOWEVER-- the one thing you almost CANNOT do is SWIM. It is in this one instance you almost NEED the Circle Pad Pro (or CPP XL). You need to be able to move and point in a direction at the same time, so either you are trying to use the analog on the 3DS --AND-- the d-pad at the same time... (How should you do that exactly? One is right above the other, so you need two fingers --AND-- you still need to HOLD the 3DS!) Alternatively, you could set up a virtual d-pad on the touch screen, but thats awkward as well...
When all is said and done, the 3DS version would NOT be a good idea if you don't have a circle pad pro and don't have access to the Wii U version, but it is GREAT if all you want to do is fight enemies (on land) --OR-- gather resources, explore on land or manage your inventory, create new equipment, manage your farm, etc... WHILE YOU ARE ON THE GO. They should have done a deal where you COULD get both the Wii U version and the 3DS version for owners of both because the 3DS version on it's own is almost kind of pointless (unless you are willing to shell out for the 2nd pad).
As weird as it sounds, they also could have gone with motion control. I know that sounds inconvenient, but slightly tilting the system up or down would be worlds better than the two finger technique or having to buy the circle pad. It works very well in Luigi's Mansion.
Played near 3 and a half hours straight of LEGO CITY, definitely a good game. The open world takes the typical lego game stuff and makes everything more expansive and cohesive. Seems very polished too. Not as funny as I was led to believe, but then the design is much better than I thought it would be and that's a very pleasent surprise. It's a very addictive game.
Cars control okay too and combat is probably more fun than the the Arkham games.
Sleeping dogs is awesome! It is gta with melee combat but unlike bully the melee is very well done, deep and challenging, amazing how that changes the quality of a game. I have't even shot a gun yet. Missions seem very well done and the story looks to be very interesting. Top notch game.
Woah! Castle of illusion is a full remake!!! Disney is kicking ass! Give us genesis Aladdin next!
yeah it was great on pc, finished a few weeks ago. About to play my monster hunter ultimate update taking for ever.
AlphaOmegaSin did the best preview for the new XENOBLADE that I've seen...lol
Wow Monster Hunter Ult sure looks pretty but damn the huge amounts of dialog in tiny little boxes sure is annoying. Plus the fact the dialog goes on and on basically saying nothing new or useful. I hope it gets better, sure glad I only paid 29 $ for it
so not impressed by Wii U.
