What's funny about Sony's phones is that I was actually going to get one thinking they surely had them on Verizon...but nope. Had to go with Samsung instead.



And T Mobile is horrible.

Ice Climbers not coming to Smash Bros. for Wii U or 3DS

You know what/ Fuck the Ice Climbers. They were worthless fodder. I'm glad they're gone.

Fantasy Life - review

Reviews for Fantasy Life are coming in and they look strong. Should be another solid Level 5 game. It does make me a little mad though that the 3DS seemed to stack all the games I was interested in to come out in a 2 month period. The rest of the year was pretty uneventful and now we have Fantasy Life, Layton vs. Wright, Lost Valley, and one other download only title that I've since forgotten about. Quite frustrating.

Why don't we have a littany of 2D graphic adventures and side scrollling beat em ups from indies? It's like none of these indies were fans of these games. Sad

I watched the Telesgrad trailer, looks great the animation in particular. Steamworld Dig animation is a bit stiff. I think instead of SW heist they should do a side scrolling shooter. Like Contra.

Hyrule Warriors review round up:

  • CVG: 8/10 - The meeting point between the two is hazy enough to be invisible, and what's left is a game all of its own; never quite Zelda, never quite Warriors. It immerses each style in the other, resurfacing with something all of its own.
  • GamesRadar: 2/5 - If you're an enthusiastic Zelda fan that is somehow immune to the boredom of endless button mashing, Hyrule Warriors might be an enjoyable experience. Otherwise, you're better off skipping this one.
  • Eurogamer: 8/10 - The marriage of Zelda and Musou is an unexpected success, then - a game that recounts the Zelda myth not just in a new way, but in a whole new language.
  • Polygon: 5.5/10 - Hyrule Warriors' novelty wears off as the game trips over its setup, story and shallow systems. Team Ninja and Omega Force have forced Zelda's universe into the confines of a beat-em-up, but much of the charm and appeal was strained out in the process.
  • IGN: 7/10 - Hyrule Warriors brings the worlds of Zelda and Dynasty Warriors closer together in a fun, repetitive action game.

  • ShackNews: 8/10 - Hyrule Warriors offers an intriguing blend of both the Zelda and Dynasty Warriors series, making for an experience that fans of either series can thoroughly enjoy. It stays true to the Zelda series' lore, sights and sounds, and combines it with the fast-paced, button-mashing action the Dynasty Warriors series is so well-known for.
  • Nintendo Insider: 8/10 - All in all, Hyrule Warriors sees Koei Tecmo fire on all cylinders to deliver an experience that meets the expectations of each respective franchise. There are evident imperfections, but with such a glut of content to make your way through - especially in Adventure Mode - it proves a worthy foundation from which to build from.
  • Metro: 4/10 - It always sounded like a bad idea, but although Zelda has inspired one of the best Dynasty Warriors games to date the end result is still well below average by any other standard.
  • Digital Spy: 3/5 - Visiting familiar Zelda locations and wiping out hundreds of enemies offers brief but satisfying bursts of mindless enjoyment, just don't expect to be engaged in the same way as a full series release.
