This October huh? Okay give me about a day and I'll give you a nice write-up of recommendations.
Oooh looks like I'm going to pick that up, even though I'm not entirely sure if I'll ever play it again.
Yeah I don't even know when or if I'll get around to playing it but I had about $5 in my wallet so for $2.50 why the hell not get it.
Universal studios and islands of adventure are a must. You can do EPCOT If you hate yourself or want to get drunk. MGM is half closed right now but tower of terror and the rocking roller coaster is great. Animal kingdom eh pass.
PES5, the best football game ever; PES6, a pretty good one; PES2008, would be the best football game ever if the AI could keep up with the controls.
Been playing Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies.
Forgot I had it, I blame Capcom for no physical release. Great game, awesome production visuals, a few refined mechanics here and there. I'm on the first case, which usually aren't that great storywise and this is no exception.
The audio.... wow! Every time I play a 3ds game with great music I'm amazed by the speakers on this system. It sounds soooo good like ALBW did. The music is virtually orchestral quality.
Okay if you're only there for two days I'll skip the theme parks and attractions that are outside of Orlando (though Kennedy Space Center really is kind of cool).
If you're hitting the Magic Kingdom your best bet is to stick with Disney properties and get a two-day park hopper. That will allow you to visit any and all of the 4 Disney theme parks each day.
If you're going during the week EPCOT is worth visiting. Don't listen to Vader, it's fun. The rides have more of an infotainment angle, but most of them are still enjoyable. It's broken into two sections - Future World and the International Showcase. Future World mainly has the rides that focus on a "world of tomorrow" theme, and the International Showcase has plazas representing a dozen different countries. It might not be as interesting to a world traveller who has actually visited some of them. A few have decent relaxing rides though, and some of the best restaurants in any Florida theme park are locatted there. However, during October they're hosting the Food & Wine festival, which is a huge event. They bring in kiosks from another 2 dozen countries and you can get appitizers and alcohol from all over the world. During the week it's fun, but on weekends all the locals come out and it's insanely crowded and should be avoided.
The other two parks are Disney Studios and Animal Kingdom. Disney Studios is currently under a lot of extensive rennovation as they're starting to turn it into a giant Star Wars theme park, and Animal Kingdom is basically just a really cool zoo. Neither have quite a full days worth of activities so the best bet is to get a park hopper and do both parks on the same day. Animal Kingdom opens an hour earlier on most days so start there. The Kilamanjaro Safari, Everest, and Its Tough to be a Bug interactive movie, and Dinosaur are all awesome things to check out, and there's plenty of neat things to look at but really unless you have small children with you a lot of the other activities probably won't appeal to you. Then hit Disney Studios for the Aerosmith Rock'n'Roller Coaster, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and maybe the Great Movie Ride if like classic movies.
Outside of Disney there's the Universal theme parks - Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Islands of Adventure has the best group of rollercoasters and thrill rides of any theme park in Orlando. No question about that. If you just want rollercoasters and shit that will make you scream, that is the place to go. Universal Studios is kind of a mixed bag in my book. The new Harry Potter world they created is absolutely amazing. It's the standard for all other theme park worlds in my opinion. The Simpson's land is cool if you're a fan, and while the main ride is fun it's dated as hell. Everything else there is kind of dull in my book. Like Disney, you can get a park hopper pass and visit both parks in one day, and cherry pick what you want to do. Hit Universal Studios first if you go that route though and do Harry Potter stuff immediately. That area gets crowded fast.
As far as other area attractions there's the new Orlando Eye. It's our big ass ferris wheel, similar to the London Eye. Also in the same facility is the Orlando Sealife Aquarium and Madam Tussaud's Wax Musuem. You can get a combo ticket for all three things. And right next to that is King's Bowling Alley, a swanky bowling alley with a Las Vegas kind of vibe. Probably not what you'd come to Orlando for if you have limited time, but it's a cool place all the same.
And lastly ignore anything you might see about Fun Spot. It's a cheap-ass ghetto amusement park that should be avoided.
Thank you Robio and Vader you too!
It is decided. We will do the Magical Kingdom and Epcot Center on day one and the Universal Studios and Island of Adventure on day two. My sister is a huuuge Harry Potter fan.
About Kennedy Space Center, we were already planning to do that another day. So it is all cool!
This weekend, I played a ton of MGSV and finish the main story. What about you Patriots?
I've been playing MGSV, Gears of War, and some GTAV. I'm currently at mission 33 in MGSV.
