While it seems they're throwing in the kitchen sink and then some, I'd be very happy if the actual tablet portion has some tricks up its sleeve, if only to validate the Switch as a portable with some quirks. One of my main concerns is that since the dock covers the screen, there'd be very few quirky 'portable only' games like the ones we've seen on the DS and 3DS.
Jesus. Since the GameTM stores closed down around my area there are no local gameshops. I went to CEX which sells dvds and game and they only sell used so no pre-order for Switch. Called the local Wallmart equivalent, no dice.
Had to order online and they usually deliver several days later than launch.
WTF is going on with game prices? Switch Zelda is £60 and Wii U Zelda is £40? But MK8 Deluxe is £47.
Weird shit. I decided to go all in on Switch concerning several ports. So I'm selling Lego City to pay for the new one. Thankfully I got the limited edition version so it has held its value quite well. Went to see Skyrim 360 which I still haven't played and it's like £3 on ebay! So no money there.
Then I hear MK8 deluxe only has new battle tracks and then with the paid online... no point really.
NOA
MK8 Deluxe in 1080p
It's sharper I guess.
I apologise in advance for the loading

R.I.P. Jimmy "Super Fly" Snuka.
Zelda BotW looks amazing. Mario 8 Deluxe looks great as well, definitely sharper.
You never have to apologize for zelda pics.
So, like every ARMs preview is saying it's great now.
Eurogamer: Arms takes the Splatoon approach "Like Splatoon, this could be something seriously special"
Don't know what to think. On the face of it, it's not my sort of game but the hands on reports have been great.
This is the best Switch event hands on preview I have read. Postive on the hardware, negative on some decisions, prices and 3rd party support:
One thing from the hands on previews has been that the build quality is high end and so is the screen.
Anyone excited for HD Rumble?
I don't know how much everyone has read about it, but it sounds like the real deal. It can simulate water sloshing around inside the controller or the feel of individual marbles rolling about at different points within the controller.
So why is that interesting? Well I was thinking in Zelda, perhaps a future Zelda - you might feel water running about inside the controller in a water temple? Or when you run on grass you feel each footstep and it feels like grass, vs when you run on rock.
Or in Zelda, when you strike wood, it feels like wood, rock, like rock etc?
A demo said that MK8 had different textured surfaces feel different when you went over them. That Foxconn leak says it's very complicated valuable tech. Can you think of other ways to use it? I was thinking when you stick a knife inside someones back in Splinter cell you can feel the guy quivering as you move him about as a shield. Kinda gory though.
Other people say the controller can simulate weight shifting. So in a gun game you can feel your mag emptying bit by bit.
The HD rumble feature sounds quite cool, interested in seeing how it functions for myself.
...no
No love for my latest GOAT entry?
One of the site's forefathers.
She would do anything, ANYTHING to win...
Even hurl her second cousin at the windshield of a competitor's Kart...
"Fear not my breathren, for your ink will not be wasted on this day. You do this for all squids, everywhere" she said...
...and then threw him to his death.
...In a cruel and ironic twist of fate, it turns out Iggy Koopa had a Blue Shell ready to go as she took first place.
In the end, she came in fourth.
Was it worth it?
...was it?
That's a lot of conjecture. Like he says, business wise it would be a poor move. Unless what he is describing is the standard dock, but I don't see that happening. It would render the Switch's main selling point, switching between at home and on the go gaming, obsolete, as the portable mode could never keep up with what the Switch could do when docked.
You know what I've been thinking since the reveal now? If the Switch had been the follow up to the Wii instead of the WiiU, These things would have sold by the tens of millions. But now, with the WiiU having soured their image, it'll be a hard sell.
