I played all three of the PS3 Resistance games and found them all to be pretty mediocre myself. Thought the Killzone games were much better.
Weapon wheel is one of the most satisfying weapon systems ever. Can't remember if R3 invented it, or merely did it to perfection. (Maybe the whole series had it? I only remember it working so nicely in the third, though.)
I vaguely remember that but it’s been quite some time since I played those games. Now I feel like firing those games up again just to check it out.
It's one of the few things I remember about the series.
Star Wars Vanity Fair pics. Mild spoilers, I guess.
Those pics are better than TLJ.

Is he starting a rug shop?
Whose curtains did he raid to make that outfit?
I see he made it large enough for a side compartment for R2D2
No kidding? I thought I left the last game the one actually cared about it anymore. Hell, after the first game I didn't think anyone cared about it anymore. That was a remarkably disappointing game.
That story on ray tracing makes me think how incredibly badass a brand new Splinter Cell in the style of Chaos Theory would be designed around that idea. I'd be all over it like Justin Verlander motorboating Kate Upton's perfect breasts.
RE4 sent the series on a downward spiral from which it's only just recovered
I have to agree. As great as RE4 was, it started the series down the path of hollywood action and sillyness and turned it into something it was never really meant to be. Even though I enjoy most of the games to an extent, there's no doubt the series went from being probably my favorite to just kind of middle of the pack. RE7 & RE2make have brought it back. RE2make in particular is exactly what they should have done directly AFTER Resident Evil 4. It's a perfect blend of old and new, while completely maintaining what RE is all about.
I don't see how Ray Tracing would result in "games changing". Very, very few games use lighting creatively. The games that do would benefit aesthetically (Metro and Splinter Cell as Edge suggested), but not significantly in terms of gameplay. I suspect it would just end up like wind effects this gen, with an endlessly moving sun to accompany the endlessly moving grass and leaves.
Sensationalist headline for a benign article. He’s just like “eh 5 and 6 weren’t that good”. RE4 saved RE, RE5 is the best selling game in the series, 6 is the second best selling. RE would be in a grave if not for RE4 and it’s sequels.
I didn't even read the article...just agree with the headline. Why do you bring up sales Vader? Sales mean nothing in terms of quality. I can name a million different times something got worse while at the same time getting more popular than ever. I think you agree that RE2make is a much better game than RE5 or 6.
EDIT: Or Revelations. Or Revelations 2. Or any other RE game they've released since RE4.
Let us hope that Ms and Sony don't blow their budget on Ray tracing. I'd much rather have them invest more in cpu. Those reports on how PS5 will be awesome because it'll include an SSD are also worrisome. They'd better have more to show to impress gamers.
