I picked up a Hyperkin Xbox DUKE controller. The first game I play with it?
Tomb Raider 2.
I gotta say, they did an amazing job with it. It feels EXACTLY like the OG Xbox pad in every way. Nornally, 3rd party controllers feel a bit off here and there, even if they're really good. Not this one. You'd swear it was produced by Microsoft. It's an exact replica, only the big logo is actually a useful menu button now with an awesome LCD screen of the logo. One of the only things I was ever disappointed with when it came to the Xbox was that they didn't make the big logo an actual screen that could be used in game like the Dreamcast, but taken to the next level. That's what this reminds me of. In fact, they really should consider it for the next-gen Xbox pad.
So yeah, best 3rd party pad I've ever used. Probably going to get the Red and Green ones too at some point. I do kind of wish they would have changed the face buttons to a tradional diamond formation instead of the offset layout, but as this is a replica I can't complain too much. Can't wait to play Halo with this thing like it's fucking 2001.
Ive mostly been playing Stunt Race FX (Switch). It took me a while but I finally got used to its low frame rate. I'm having quite a bit of fun with it now. Nice nostalgia trip, for sure. I just unlocked the Master Class of tracks which are very challenging.
I also been playing the Crash Bandicoot 1 Remake (PS4). I swear if you miss a ledge or touch an enemy by one pixel, you are dead!
Yeah I totally loved getting sidetracked in Breath of the Wild, always some cool spot you’d see off in the distance that really triggered my adventuring spirit.
I’ve been playing lots of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. Really good stuff. So many monsters to fight and so much more cool armour and weapons to craft. I’m digging the addition of the Clutch Claw to the gameplay mechanics.
Gronk is the biggest goofball. He really is the stereotypical dumb jock.
My mother works at a big local wholesale club, and many of the big athletes go there. One day a few years back, Gronk goes in....all dressed up incognito, trying to hide. The GM recognized him so he goes up and says hey Gronk nice to meet you. Would you mind taking a picture? Gronk picks up two giant poland sping water jugs & poses like he's lifting with them.
I tried it this morning and the frame rate was just unbearable. It was like a badly scratched dvd.
