I was sailing around solo in what amounts to little more than a bathtub with a sail and a clear white flag hoisted atop the mast. I had gathered some treasure while doing a main story mission and decided to make a quick stop at an outpost to cash in. At some point I was unceremoniously shot in the back, to respawn in a sinking ship with the notification that my remaining treasure had been sold by another band of pirates.
I looked around and saw this huge ship, very ornate, indicating that it was a larger group of players who had spent a long time together on the seas. They very well knew I was minding my own business and that by selling my remaining quest specific treasure they were forcing me to start half the quest anew.
Fucking pirates...
How else would they have a huge, very ornate ship?
You say that like it’s a bad thing.
