Foolz has tricked me into upgrading my PC!  Will elaborate on next podcast.

I'm guessing the proverbial camel's nose is a readyness to indulge in VR?

I have to update my PC first. But yes.

Neo: The World Ends With You, the follow-up to Square Enix’s 2007 cult classic for the Nintendo DS looks like garbage visually.

I liked the game for the story more than the mechanics, thought the mechanics were good.  I look forward to this one too, but perhaps if I love it so much I should be asking why I don;t fel compelled to play the original a second time...

Since the Quest2 is the best choice for a VR headset at the moment (thanks to untethered play and it's low cost of entry), why don't you get that first and decide upon updating your computer after having dipped your toe in with the Oculus shop?

Buy Inside. Forget lumines. It's okay but not essential.

Inside is awesome, a must play.

Thanks for the tips.

Second Inside recommendation, but bear in mind a lot of it is light on gameplay if that might bother you. Have not play Lumines.

I suffered through Limbo, I'm expecting more of the same light puzzling and platforming.

As a piece though it works. More advanced than limbo.

That is sage advice. But this is consumer electronics and Im on a mission. Plus mu current PC is about 9 years old so it is time for an upgrade.

I was looking forward to challenging Foolz for some VR tabletennis, but now that I've listened to the latest GU Podcast and learned he used to play something called 'wool tennis', which I can only assume to be a local form of tennis imported from New Zealand, I'm hesitant to propose it.

wall tennis. Hitting a bool against a wool.

Mine is nearing 9 years as well.  But as I'm not a PC gamer and my work doesn't require a super beefed up PC (although it could benefit from it), I just can't justify the large spendings to get it up to par and VR capable.

I assumed as much, but much preferred the image of 'wool tennis'.  I'd imagine it'd require live sheep.

Also buy Cross Code, Hyper Light Drifter and Katana Zero. They are all on sale and I bought them together with Inside. (And Shantea Pirates Curse, Bioshock Collection, Lego City Undercover and Tales of Vesperia)

Yeah I bought 8 games πŸ™ˆ and a SNES controller πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ

As is Hyperlight Drifter, and Shantae is fun for what it is.

I already gave my money to Mark Zuckerberg.

Thanks to GamePass I already have more games to play than I'll probably have disposable to me for the rest of the year as is, so I won't be splurging on additional purchases, regardless of how good the sales are.

Speaking of GamePass, I started A Plague Tale: Innocence.  It looks very pretty, especially considering it was made by a smaller team.  So far, so inquisition.  The French accent of the characters somewhat botters me, as it flattens the performance and doesn't even sound like 'a pgopeg Fwench axaunt'.  I contemplated just opting for the French recordings but read online that, despite it being made by a French speaking team, it was written in English and then translated and 'dubbed' in French.  As anyone that has any experience with French dubs knows, their dubs are horrifically bad.
