The Hot Garbage DLC for Journey to the Savage Planet is just that. Hot garbage. You now have a jet pack ability only it's the worst mechanic by far. It barely works and makes me want to rage quit rather than continue.
Finally got Splatoon 2 this afternoon and have enjoyed it greatly. Prior to that I was mainly messing the the NES and SNES libraries. Got all the way through Super Dodgeball in one try. Still got it.
I've played some Monster Hunter World this weekend. There are some pretty cool beats added in the Iceborne expansion. Much more diverse than those of the base game, which was a bit of a complaint after the eclectic beastiary seen in something like MH4. Very enjoyable.
Also continued in A Plague Tale Innocence. It looks pretty, but I'm currently about a third in to the game and I'm not sure that the gameplay will manage to keep up for another 2/3's of the game. It's getting repetitive already.
And of course played Tetris99 to get the new skin. Such a great game, the moment to moment drama is uparallelled. Came in first again too, which is still as awesome as it was the first time.

I never got along as well with Splatoon2 as I did with the original. Something in the balancing of the weapons just feels off. It also doesn't help that because of differences in the netcode getting splatted often doesn't feel fair. I never had an issue with that in the original.
I wish the best of luck to Shyguy, with his new lady-friend shygirl
Between us, he'll be hard pressed to keep her I think.
And before you all get ideas that might or might not be true about how I peruse the internet: this new music 'phonomenon' was thrown at my face after downloading a shared file from Wetransfer. Bless them and their advertising strategy.

I haven't played ranked battle yet, only turf wars. so far though I haven't run up against anything that seems unfair. The only real difference I've noticed so far is there was something about the Wii U pad that really felt perfect for the game's controls. There's something about this set of controls that doesn't feel quite as natural for the game. That could just me not being used to the change yet, but I think it's more than that.

Yes the controls just aren't as accurate and the weapon balance has decisively shifted in favour of machine guns. But overall its a better game than 1. Don't forget to get the Octo expansion.
The new Perfect Dark trailer looks interesting, even if it's just prerendered.
Very little news from Nintendo. I remember how focusing on only one platform that bridges the handheld/console gap would allow them to focus all their studio's on creating content for one system, heralding the end of the infamous 'second half of the gen drought', yet here we are again.

Yeah I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more on this new Perfect Dark game.
I was really hoping that we would have at least seen something on Bayonetta 3. Ghosts & Goblins Resurrection looks very cool as does Capcom Arcade Stadium. Would love to see a whole bunch of their classic arcade games on there.
In a moment of insanity I ordered it at some point for about -25% off. It's yet to be shipped. I feel like I should do the logical thing and cancel it, but the hilarity of the Steam forum for it makes me curious.

Yes, it's terribly optimised by the sounds of it. But it's the other stuff that is hilarious: genital customisation issues, political issues, lack of nudity in photo mode issues, and a plethora of other things.
Ultimately, it just sounds unfinished. Which Witcher 3 was at launch, too.

It's clunky but fun so far. Visually it's fine, but I'm not impressed after Spider-Man wowed me less than a month ago. It's certainly not what was advertised. I can see myself really enjoying the gameplay.

However, I did complete Paper Mario this weekend. I'm also trying to complete the Telltale Game of Tgrones episodes before Cyberpunk arrives.

It may happen, late at night my time early in the day your time.
After next week, I'll be home for two weeks. Maybe then.
Did anyone else pick up Cyberpunk today?
No Cyberpunk 2077 for me yet. I kind of want to pick up Immortals: Fenyx Rising first to be honest.

Performance issues? I haven't played it yet.
